Emo is EMOTIONAL hardcore, a bit "softer" than the normal punk hardcore in the 80's, and added emotional texts about love, hate, death in a more "i will die with my head drenched in sorrow if i loose you" style (well, that was kinda blown out of proportions of the general emo music but anyway).

Emo is EMOTIONAL hardcore, a bit "softer" than the normal punk hardcore in the 80's, and added emotional texts about love, hate, death in a more "i will die with my head drenched in sorrow if i loose you" style (well, that was kinda blown out of proportions of the general emo music but anyway).
Rites of spring is emo, death by stereo is hardcore. Does RoS sound like Death by Stereo? NO! So please (the guy that mentioned DbS beeing emo or wtf)you should have a little bit of clue of what emo ARE.
