  • Werdykt jury tego konkursu był dla mnie czymś niepojętym. Słuchając po latach mam podobne wrażenie. Przeciętna, nijaka interpretacja.

  • Amasing cantabile! Bravo!!

  • i play this song too. she play very emotional.. great!!! I love it.

  • @PierFrancescMicciche

    i see 3 men at a table

  • Her interpretation style of Chopin reminds me of Arthur Rubinstein's. If you wish you could see him perform this live, watch this and you'll come pretty darn close.

  • Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff (Russian: Сергей Васильевич Рахманиновъ)[1] (Russian pronunciation: [sʲɪrˈɡʲej rɐxˈmanʲɪnəf]; 1 April 1873 – 28 March 1943) was a Russian[2] composer

    He die

  • nodame is better than her!

  • this interpretetion sounds many diferent :O some times and the volume

  • Ingolf is more gifted.

  • Why would someone dislike this? ....i don't understand ......what kind of people are that ?

  • @thepianistak I did not vote this videos, but I can tell you,I really hate everything about this pianist.Absurdity that she won the competition.

  • @Ellinidara Why? Can you explain?

  • @thepianistak Yes,I don't like her cantabile, her type of sound a little bit closed for me,her tecnique is not perferct, also.I heard her in Salle Cortot and I did not fell anything and Salle Cortot is not so big.Her victory was decided at the beginning of the competition, near monsters like Berezovsky or Wunder...No,I don't accept that.

  • @thepianistak Yes I was there for my job and I know what really happened and what usually happens during the competitions .

  • @Ellinidara By the way ,I am also big fan of MARTHA ARGERICH! :)

    ...

  • @thepianistak :-)

  • @Ellinidara Μη μου πεις οτι την έχασες το τριήμερο που πέρασε στο μέγαρο..Ηταν -όπως πάντα- καταπληκτική.. (για την Άργκεριχ λέω,ε )

  • @jen1989z :-) Bebaios eimoyna ekei:-)

  • This her concert was amazing!

  • قمة في الرومنتيكية

  • FAIL! what is the picture that compare at =0:00-0:01!?

  • Why Chopin Competition would use Yamaha instead of Steinway?

  • @apluspianist Pianists can choose between yamaha , fazioli and steinway piano for the competition.

  • @vvvteamvvv kawai is also one of the options

  • @lantianshui yes , sorry i forgot kawai

  • Sorry didn't like the tempo very "heavy"

     performance.

  • @YOTVAT12345 not sure if it is the sound quality of the recording or her technique on the mid upper register being more abrasive than desirable. Either way i cant really complain until i can play as well :P

  • お世話になりましたm(__)m

  • violinist at @3:30 looks like Sergei Rachmaninoff! :D

  • @llspritz You are totally right!!! :)

  • She's beautiful AND amazing at piano.

  • sublime

  • Magnificent! Well played Yulianna!

  • Sorry but I think that Advdeeva shouldn't have won the competition...Wunder is way much better !!

  • anyway I like Lang Lang,he is extraordinary pianist

  • All of those bastards who don't like Yulianna's playing this concerto are jealous. They don't even play the piano or this concerto which is very hard... screw all of you who don't like her. She is amazing performer!

  • @Any667 I play this piano and this concerto actually. You are right, this is a difficult piece, but I am not jealous of Avdeeva. If I had to be jealous of anyone, I would be jealous of Trifonov...

  • Thank you for your comment, but I think its a question of personal taste.Ive played this concert and interpretations of the Lang Lang meets my feelings and emotions. Thanks again,I appreciate it.Where are you from?

  • Nice work. But i prefer yundi li's version. Anyway, here's some of my note:

    1. 1st movement is so slow (Allegro maestoso)

    2. Too much rubatos and change of pace in 1st movement

    3. Strong left hand playing

    4. Very emotional performance

    5. Beginning of the 3rd movement is a bit slow too

    6. Rubatos in 3rd movement make orchestra hard to keep pace with her

    7. The top pitches of the piano seems out of tune? Just feel not nice to hear those top pitches

    8. IMHO, a great soloist

  • Nice!

  • This doesn't even come close to Wunder or Trifonov....

  • @chobeethaninov strongly disagree- i prefer her interpretation to wunder's. he is too harsh at times, yulianna plays somehow softer. but then again it's a question of personal taste... =)

  • @rhia90 I agree, it's a question of personal taste. But Wunder and Trifonov always play like great MASTERS, I admit, i don't think Chopin is Wunder's composer, but anyway...

Avdeeva's playing reminds me very qualitative and diligent schoolwork

  • @rva25 you don't think Chopin is Wunder's composer!!!

  • @develish16 not exactly. But he's great pianist, I would say his Chopin sounds more like classic concerto and his sound reminds me Gilels or Pollini sound. Frankly, I think only Trifonov should win here- no one played Chopin like him. Even Avdeeva)))))

  • @rva25 Try to say this to Martha Argerich, if you thing she doesn't recognize a good pianist... :-) (sorry to use such an arguement, but I had to, simply because I love Martha and enjoy Yuliana's playing

  • @davidmirth Excuse me, why is Marta here? I just can't accept an arguement like this. She's awarded first prize to Trifonov too and she wasn't alone in the jury, btw

  • @rva25 well, than I'm sorry, I've never seen the individual decidements of the jury members. Where can I see them? But still, there are interviews, where Martha says only good things about Avdeeva and encourages her in her future career... And she can say if she doesn't agree, as she did with Pogorelich :-)

  • @davidmirth well, let's not forget - they 're women, I think it's a kind of women's solidarity)))). Martha is always was great virtuoso, I don't believe she couldn't see the difference between Wunder (or Trifonov) and Avdeeva - it's more than obvious.

  • @rva25 OK, let's say this is a thing we cannot agree on now, cause I simply like Avdeeva more. This year, both Wunder and Avdeeva are coming to my town (Prague), so I'll be much more able tu judge them after this... :-)

  • @davidmirth Yeah, I think that's the point - many people just like her (as a woman I mean), but really, it doesn't make her playing better). Please, write here after their concerts - just interesting to know your opinion))))

  • @rva25 Well, I thought I enjoy her playing more, but as a woman, she's really more interesting than Wunder I must admitt :-D I will write here... I'm just a bit sad, that she plays here just Mozart 17 pc, which is not exactly a piece of my favourites, I would prefere this chopin concerto :-) or a piano recital... Wunder is having here a recital of Chopin and Liszt including Chop polonaise-fantasie of 2nd hungarian rhapsody... I'm so looking foward :-)

  • @chobeethaninov exactly. it's just not bad (in the best way)

  • I have only heard the winning performace. This is even better. I instantly fell in love with it.

  • this is my favorite interpretation. Just compared it with the Lang Lang and M. Argerich. I respect them both but Ms Avdeeeva is playing from the heart and the orchestra plays much more delicate. Genius performance! I wonder if it is possible to get this record on CD or DVD

  • she plays with wonderful touch it surpasses imagination. The i reason i am so enamored with her playing is there is a human quality to her, its not robotic as you would find in many pianists, but it has a Zal only humans can produce, it comes from deep within our soul. Many people cannot transfer the raw human emotion into their playing, in fact only a few can, but i believe she is one of the few.

  • Grandissima intensità e spettacolare controllo! Sui tasti scivolano emozioni infinite.

  • when you listen Lang-Lang to discover yourself anew I knew,he opens up to you how music is beautiful.

  • Lang-Lang best

  • @chloya1 Lang Lang still need to work hard!

  • Yulianna doesn't just know the piece, she knows her piano too. She chose the Yamaha because Chopin sounds better on a Yamaha than on a Steinway.

  • Which hall is this one in?? It's so beautiful! and which orchestra is she playing with? THey're awesome, Wow I like everything about this recording!!!! I'd love to see her play live.

  • I really like how the orchestra appears to enjoy accompanying her. It's as if they can appreciate the beauty in Chopin's writing even if the orchestra parts are simpler and subservient to the piano. I feel they color the piano really nicely, especially the Wind solos.

  • Magnificent playing . Full of nobility and passion. There is a palpable tension in the connection from one note to the next . A sense of a beautufully adorned volcano, a sense without which Chopins concertos easily descend into kitch. Miss Avdeeva`s mental strength performing on a much higher level in the winner`s concert after all the verbal abuse heaped on her by especially Mr Wunder`s admirers really showed she is a worthy gold medalist of the Chopin competition.

  • very nice, very beautiful, very nice comment, bravo

  • @ProRachStravinsKiev I agree completely! Gotta love Chopin!
