  • Good fist. If you're a ham operator, you know what I mean.

  • I don't know why I feel it's so sad, but beautiful

  • what where they using for the chorus sound?? a sample or could early hardware produce those sounds?

  • @lastsonofktn You mean choir sounds? It's (Optigan) Vaco Orchestron, a hardware optical disk rompler, also used on Trans Europa Express. You could check out some videos on Youtube.

  • @lastsonofktn You can ask me if you want to know more. I'm such a hardcore -werk fan.

  • tanta roba!!!

  • The morse code at the beginning is the word "Radioactivity".

  • @themainproblem The morse code in the middle of the song is "Radioactivity is in the air for you and me"

  • @kellerpm Awesome! I have tried to learn morse code, but it is hard for me .

  • And later on, "Radioactivity is in the air for you and me". Found myself saying the characters as they were playing out. Fun part of the song!

  • @kj7gsdon It's a very cool piece! I'm not, and have not ever been very hip but Kraftwerk is a great group. I wish I would have seen them sooner.

  • Madame Curie is glad for this homage.

  • Raaaaalf aw^^

  • I am sure the bass sound is an ARP Odyssey or ARP Axxe. Can anyone confirm?

  • screw daftpunk and all that shit everyone wants to see on the festivals these days, fuck them

    bring back the late 70's - 80's - early 90's

  • @simionTheOne you're fucking right! i agree with you.

  • Real music! <3

  • Kraftwerk were about 30 years ahead of their time, true pioneers.

  • @garethella

after 30 more years they will say kraftwerk were 60 years ahead

  • @faterlandas ,i do not disagree with your last statement.

  • @garethella Yea, shitty music wasn't popular until 2000..

  • @0rono ,lyou would fucking know orono !!!! what is cool ???? if you need somebody to explain coolness youre obviously a bit of a nob orono, dont you think ????

  • @garethella i love Karftwerk but United States of Amrica and all of People from BBC Radiphonic WorkShop (Delia Derbishire, Daphne Oram, Jonh Barker, etc...) was first.......

  • When I first saw this video I thought that Ralf Huetter was the hottest looking guy I had ever seen in my entire life.

  • What does the MorseCode say?

  • @Orbiter144 At the beginning of the song "Radioactivity" Later on at ~2:13 "Radioactivity is in the air for you and me".

  • Fukushima and Chernobyl..

  • @MichiLiebe I live in Japan, it's terrifying...

  • @WristCutGauze I'm sorry.

  • i always was curious to know what the mores code message is!

  • Funny fact is that radioactivity has been discovered by Becquerel and not by Curie^^

  • 139 people have been contaminated by radioactivity.

  • @t09t how sad..

  • Ralf Huetter is the hottest looking guy I have ever seen in my life. I want to mate with him and create a new race of genetically superior offspring.

  • c'est enorme trop de souvenirs

  • The lyrics are kinda shitty actualy...

  • This is older that punk!

  • exellent !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I've had this obsessive thought for a while now, and it boils down to me thinking about the likeilihood of being contaminated by chernobyl, meanwhile this song plays in my head...

  • Begging sounds like faapin ;d Anyway it is worth listening

  • these guys are sooo fucked

  • ...chain reaction, and mutation... ...contaminated population...

...truely, it's in the air for you and me.

  • does any1 know what the mores code beeping is saying?

  • Today, 6th August, is the 66th annivesary of the nuclear bomb dropped on Hiroshima. I feel so indigant to see how people can be bad with the others, and what the people can do for money. I would like to give you a message of peace! Do not ever support any kind of war or violence, take care of our planet and our people. I especially dedicate this message to the U.S., great responsable of all the disgrace in the world due to their greed. PEACE!

  • @rafael120194 the dropping of the atomic bombs had nothing to do with greed.

  • those little "drum" pads wrapped in foil are literally the reason why i became a electrical engineer.

  • @staticbb why not a chef?

  • @staticbb Cool. How can I make them? Or where can I buy them?

  • @staticbb Well, go on....... I'm listening

  • @staticbb what are they called?

  • @ArtieNakamura3 they are just home made electronic drum pads. When i looked into it sometime ago they suggests contact between the sticks and the pad act as a switch but i imagine it's more complicated than that. There are a bunch of fun ways to make one.

  • @staticbb i dont give 2 hoots

  • I like!!!

  • who the funk are daft punk?

  • The Forefathers of Daft Punk

  • ohh just saw the discussion below. of course not only German music is good, but every nation provides good music. :)

  • absolutely cool song!!! good German music :))))))))))))

  • I think this is what morse cod says (I found it on internet):

Radioactivity is in the air for you and me

    Radioactivity discovered by madame Curie

    Radioactivity is in

    Stop radioactivity

  • I think any of you talking about the war... are fucking retarded. I swear this is a video that has music in it, and that's the main point of clicking on it.

  • The music is soundtrack of Fassbinder films

    The epilog by BERLIN ALEXANDERPLATZ

    and

    Chinese Roulette

  • I'm not into negativity but, I dream in radioactivity. It's in the air for you and me cant the world live in unity?

  • this song still gives me the shivers..they were thirty years ahead of the rest..

  • I forgot how I got Kraftwerk into my hands as a teen...but somehow their music magically got into my ears and changed my whole musical process and brain wiring...It is strange what an effect artists can have in your life...They were not so popular at the time I listened to them but somehow I got their tape into my hands and loved every bit....I am still at a loss as to how Kraftwerk found me...but I am glad they did.

  • Increible

  • man i cant stop playing this song over!

  • What is the morse message saying?

  • @deltango12345 radio-activty,Theres a vid with better graphics, could not find it atm..

  • Everybody chill. I'm trying to hear this song.

  • Everybody chill. I'm trying to hear this song.

  • Elektronische Musik-Qualität ausgezeichnet

  • Religious nuts, catholics, cheap imports, slavery, muckraking, nuclear power plants, Hiroshama, japs, vietnam, stupid ass flame war, economic stability? I didn't hear any of those things in the song. Am I missing something?

  • @DJacqu8351 yeah, the song's subject, ---> exit is here.

  • @finriel Funny, funny little man!

  • can't believe all it takes is a band from Germany to start a stupid ass flame war about who's country is better. you all don't know shit and you didn't contribute directly at all to your country's success or failure, muckraking from history is the stupidest fucking thing, especially when the above video has NOTHING to do with Germany except that the band is German.

  • give it a rest u religious nuts, religion is long dead by now, fuk knows y `god` invented it anway! waste of time ha

  • seriously people need to chill and just listen to this techno awesomeness

  • stop taking politics and enjoy the music you bunch of cunts.

  • The rest of the fags in the world are owned by Germans - from your space technology to the german cars that you love to drive that much to compensate for your small penises, all of you look at your crappy countries and the direction you are going to.....you are going nowhere! Starting from the latino infested AmeriKKKa to the rest of the small and dysfunctional countries that proundly call themselves "independent". The Germany will be standing after 1000 years and you will not. Go pick up a bean

  • @copilot7777 Although a little ott, dude, you got a point, Germany is one of the most economacally stable countries in the world, as is Sweden, why? beause they keep all production internal and dont import cheap shit from china! Keep it up, its nice to see a country working for once, now back to the important thing, music...

  • I wonder what the morse says?

  • @XandarbFinland The morse code is merely the main chorus repeated.

  • All my life long one of my very favorite group.

I was really happy to see Kraftwerk 2005 in Riga.

  • Dont like Kraftwerk, but this is so great and touching. wow

  • I'm french and I think that german people are really creative - klaus schulze is one of them. In deed Kraftwerk are at the origin of electronic music world wide.

That's also very good that they decided to stop their 'atomkraft' nuclear plants => very courageous. Danke

  • @vmegag LOL!!! The irony is that Germany will no have to rely more on energy imports, namely from France which derives the majority of its energy from....you guessed it! NUCLEAR!! This is nothing more than an attempt to appease the Greens in the government, don't give praise where it is not due, or where there is an ulterior motive.

  • @vmegag however 'atomkraft' is the only truly clean power source, we currently have nothing better...you (French) of all people should know better with approx. 70% of all electrical power being produced in nuclear powerplants...

I'd be more than happy if they could change the 4x200MW (it's quite big) coal powerplant near my town for a single nuclear reactor...

  • @vmegag

will France closer her atom too?

  • @TheSunmanho Probably not (uhh, i mean surrely not) the french gov. like many other decide to live day by day which is completly irresponsible...meanwhile they're burying nuclear wastes and praying to find a solution to process them one day, maybe...or not.

Worst than that they lying to the population about the safety of their nuclear plants.

  • @vmegag

Thats really nice from you, thanks! But dont forget the creative frenchmen like Jean Michel Jarre or the new french electronica music, really creative and great, in my opinion. Grüße aus Deutschland. :) ...

  • Which came first: OMD's 'Electricity' or this? Because if this was first, then I'd say that the main synth melody from 'Electricity' (heard at the start for example) was inspired by the melody at 0:30 and 0:38 and throughout.Indeed, the general concept and some lyrics are similar.

  • @BadGirlOfAutism : You're right. Andy McCluskey of OMD said that Electricity was a total ripoff of Radioactivity. OMD loved Kraftwerk. I like both bands very much :-)

  • Pity Germany wants to disable nuclear plants by 2022 due to one irrelevant scare from Japan...

wer real denkt weiß was ist ..

  • I <3 Kraftwerk

  • and this is what sounds during a atomic attack

  • These guys are insane. Absolutely unbelievable for the time.

  • cherrrr-no-bee-uhl!beee-uhl!beeeeeee-uhl!

  • 138 must have been demaged with radiation !

  • @soccerules1031 Jo, ich geh mal deiner Bitte nach. :)

    Peace.

  • FU-KU-SHI-MA -MA-MA-MA-MA

  • It is sick that a music Video, which does not contain any percent in any form of war material or nazi stuff, can start such a discussion.

  • Concordo com paolo1991.

  • i kno they are like 4 years older than daft punk but i like dp so so much better

  • RADIO

    ACTIVITY

  • Aww.... young kraftwerk

  • jesus christ relax everybody

  • without kraftwerk there would be no electronic music they even commissioned the drum machine so a lot is to be credited to them pastey white germans may be true but they ARE the fathers of modern electronica and techno not to mention sound samples yada yada ya ....need i go on?

  • this should be dedicated to tokyo

  • This is a song not a history video

  • @TheHateUGave716 Of course he's going to sample this song, how else would any hiphop artist make good music if he wasn't borrowing from another actually good musician?

  • Comment removed

  • any suggestions of other good "high" songs by kraftwerk?

  • kraftwerk morgenspaziergang...

  • This almost sounds like a joy division song in some ways at least, am i alone in thinking this??

  • @hanno12345 Joy Division were heavily influenced by Kraftwerk.
