Another great tune from the freewheeling 70s! Hard to believe in this day and age that the lyrics were controversial back then. Compared to today's gangster rap lyrics they're positively tame!
CRIMES: Count 1 - Invasion of Privacy. Count 2 - Continuing Crucifixion of Angelina DiMauro since February 16, 1994. Today is Wednesday, January 25, 2012 (C.E.), 7:07 AM (Earth-Eastern Standard Time)
I remember driving when this song came on -- I had my learner's permit and my mom was in the car and she started screaming "pull over pull over the police are coming" when the sirens came on. LMAO then and now thinking about it.
remember this- but am I right in thinking that this recording is not the one that made the hits? But perhaps it was - as the orchestration technique fits the time period!
I remember the 60's when we had gas wars. I paid a little as 4 cents a gallon. With a gas guzzler car. A 1961 Ford Galaxy Starliner 406 interceptor engine. I could go for miles for $1.00. If I had that car now I'd keep it parked except for Friday nights at Bob's Big Boy in Taluca Lake Burbank, Ca. FM and Stereo were as yet dreams. So where cassets. driving around with my Girl was nice as she loved me and my fast car. I never lost a race.
Riding around in the 70's on 50 cent a gallon gas. A little sweetie beside me listening to A M radio and 8 tracks. Only two small speakers but they were cranked to the max. A great station in 73, 74, and 75 was Spiderman on WO WO in Fort Wayne Indiana. I am so glad I have all these great memories. What a great time to be a teen.
The "Laws Are Common" in all English speaking countries. It goes to English Common Law... The US Constitution has greater safeguards than any other law system.
One of those Cheese-tastic early 70s AM radio classics! Anyone remember "Indian Lake", "Lay A Little Lovin' On Me" and "The Night Chicago Died" too? Oh, and "Billy Don't Be A Hero".
@JimHadar1 Indian lake is a Cowsill's song from 69. Lay a little lovin' on me Robin McMamara 1970. The night Chicago Died, Paper Lace, 1974. Great songs for sure...Billy don't be a zero... Well, where's the dislike button.
@bheffley2002 That's why a lot of folks with CCW permits say "If I hadn't been wearing my gun,I'd of punched that wise ass in the mouth". You are held to a higher standard of care while legally carrying & folks who haven't been to a concealled carry class don't know that.
@bheffley2002 now they do lethel injection, Tim McVey was executed in Indiana....he is nothing like the guy in this song but he is the person I know of that was executed there
one of my top songs of all tme.just reminds me of being 15 years old again.and that is something all the money in the world cant buy back.long live the memory of wigan casino my home town.

There doesn't need to be an apostrphe in Wants. I'm mad about something else and couldn't make my point with her. So I'm attempting to make it here.
