The civet was raiding Leftovers from your dinner?! What did you leave behind? A bit of coffee and orange peel? YOU GREEDY PIG! You CLEANED your plate!! The poor thing had NOTHING to Scavenge...
This is an Indian Rasse! Small Indian Civet!!!(Vivericula indica)!!! You can tell by the faint spots & Stripes! The Genets markings are usually Bolder... I would love to own one of these civets as a Pet???
Although am using my Scoutguard on most of my latest videos took this video using a Sony Nightshot camcorder triggered by a remote from inside the room. What also may work for the 'genet' is rigging up an outside light - animals should get used to it after a while - and this increases the picture quality and may even allow you to use a video camera ? Hope this helps...
How neat! I wanted to see if there was any footage of civets on here and there you have it :)
I think viverids are very interesting and beautiful creatures. How about I trade you the three raccoons that raid my bird feeders at night for one civet?
A Sony standard Digital Camcorder with remote control bought about 4 years ago for around UK Pounds 400 though an equivalent model would be much cheaper now.
