The neck wood choice is amazing... I play a Pavel right now... Might have to find a DPB to try... Thanks for posting.. enjoying your other videos too... God Bless sis!!
1 more thing I'd like to mention, that I forgot in my last post, you must keep a close eye on those one piece body basses, some do have have problems with the neck to bow on them, and if that happens it will lead to either something breaking trying to get it lined out or a useless bass. Been there done that already. Those type basses need to be kept stored in warm areas or rooms. But I hope all goes well with your new bass though. Take Care and God Bless You!
@itagotb i notice alot of people always say that they dont know why people go over 4 to 5 strings. the only people who understand that are those who skills and anointing keep elavating. God Bless you and keep up the good work. can't wait to see you play your new bass on youtube.

That's real nice! I'll stick to my 4 strings though. Lol. Never seemed to need more than that. What made you want a five or six string? You are very talented in any case. The fact that you are female makes no difference. It always urks me when I hear people say things like, "you play good for a woman". Shoot, some of the best players I've seen on ANY instrument were female. I'm adding you to that list. Keep grooving sista.
I've gained a new respect for 6 string basses since I've listened to Anthony Jackson and Alain Carron. If you can play them, use as many strings as you want (although maybe Yves Carbonne does go a little too far)!
I see your strap button is on the back side of the body instead of on the tip of the cutaway, like some bases: I think that's a very wise choice.
Have fun with this bass, lets have some videos soon, please!
You do not want to get in contact with the guy who built that bass. He built me a bass about 6 years ago. He took over 14 months to complete after quoting something like 4 months. The bass was a complete train wreck. A real POS. Bad neck angle, bad finish work, had to send back because stuff wasnt lined up. Like I said, a real POS. Thank God for reputable builders like Sheldon Dingwall and Keith Roscoe.
Don't mean to be a downer, but I would not recommend Dave's basses at all. You can see here that the pickup routes are sloppy and the width of the fretboard outside of the strings is not even. They way a ton and you're lucky if nothing goes wrong with it within a few months. Yes I've played one, luckily before I decided to have him make me one. The price draws in a lot of people, but trust me- save a little more and half a decent luthier build you a bass.
beautiful... you're very talented too, kudos! made my morning stumbling upon your channel. keep it up!
