  • wtf.....haha am i missing sumthin?

  • vic moore didnt really like bruce, didnt you see how he kick him and punched him in the face when they sparred for demonstration with gloves and helmets. on a clear video, you can see his head bump back quite violently, and the confusing translating into the whole body.

  • One day, Bruce went to the loo and took a big nap whilst pooping out his soul. A few days later stock-market-price for gold went down for 10% around hongkong.

  • Bruce here appeared at age of 27. I mention it cause think hedd do better or faster in hes best form which would probably be~30 or so.

    or was it 24 damn...

  • Bruce here appeared at age of 27. I mention it cause think hedd do better or faster in hes best form which would probably be~30 or so.

  • That`s speed. :-)

  • this sucks he stands there.

also he was at a huge disadvantage if he did block because his were down.

  • ANd that was on slow motion, the camera cant catch the real punch

  • The title of this video is misleading.

Bruce Lee's famous 'unstoppable punch' demonstration involves USKA Karate champion Vic Moore trying to block the punches. Which he fails to do btw.

In this video the partner is not attempting to block. This is not the unstoppable punch demonstration.

  • @frankovich213 the thing is, he is trying to block the punches, its just that bruce lee is so fast that he has retracted his arm before moore could attack. go on wikipedia and search bruce lee and read the physical feats section.

  • @jackslasho

You're missing frankovich's point. He's not saying this is NOT the video because the opponent does not try to block (at least I hope not). He's saying the opponent does not try to block in this video because this is NOT that video, lol. If you watch the actual footage in question, you DO see Vic try to block. He fails, but you see his attempt.

  • @frankovich213 oh yeh, true, sorry bro

  • I'm not sure if this is representative of the entire demonstration, but if so I'm not impressed. Vince has been stood in an front facing starting position with his hands down, while Bruce is already side on. Anyone who's actually practiced martial arts seriously (not just watched Bruce's movies) would know that's a set-up, and Bruce had a huge advantage before the punch even started. Very typical of martial arts demos: tacitly manipulate by abusing the partner's cooperation.

  • dude this is his exhibition and bruce havent even met a guy b4 , he told his judges to pick a volunteer , and he even told him whr the punch will be directed , u are just a taekwandou dont know how wing chun practitioner punch , u only punch with ur hand , and they punch with str from their waste feet and shoulder so , dont talk so much if u dont know anything about wing chun , wana talk big when ur taekwando

  • To know I practice taekwondo, you must have seen an upload, so don't claim I "only punch with [my] hand". I hit hard - old "Korean Karate", not _sport_ taekwondo. Consider Bruce's own teaching - a punch is a punch - and stop trying to impose form on it. Wing chun, taekwondo, whatever... the way the other guy is standing is the issue. Bruce is smart enough to exploit that. Still, I apologise for presuming he manipulated Vince into standing like that... it may have been Vince's own choice.

  • there are still other ppl that he demonstrated on , with their hands in boxing on guard position

  • If there's another video you think I should watch, please share the link. As for "snapping and bodily strength", Bruce did indeed have and use both, but was quite prepared to use them to generate optimal untelegraphed speed without any striking power if that was what he wanted to highlight at that particular point in time. Don't confuse the two. Someone who can be fast, and someone who can hit hard, can only do both together in a more limit set of circumstances.

  • they can do both together , wc punch they relax their muscles and harden their fist at impact

  • but dis is bruce demonstrating speed , u wont wana hit hard and slow in an exhibition

  • shootingmen: re "hands in boxing on guard position"... in boxing both sides wear gloves, which makes the defender's and attacker's fists so "big" that, in combination, a punch can't easily reach the head. It doesn't work bare fisted, and is actually a really stupid stance to adopt, as it's trivial to trap the forearms before they can be brought downwards on a line to the opponent's head, so the attacking options are very limited to. A WC fighter should understand this well ;-).

  • wad i mean is that the hands are near the area whr the punch will be directed , and he only nid to touch bruce punch , not perry em down, also watch bruce lee finger jab too

  • its only 1 punch not alot of punch to trap their hands , and its harder to trap hands with gloves on , wc hands trapping is easier without glove

  • btw, dont think u can beat bruce just cos ur fat

  • Hey, that's clever, and funny too...! Anyway, I guess analysis of the video was a bad idea... I'll leave you Bruce fan-boys to just go "ooooh, shit" (good point MightMan) and "you could never block that" (so true baddassbr, cause by definition there's only one Bruce through all eternity). Have fun at the movies....

  • haha i will just leave u to like "omg!!!bruce is a fake!!!"i can beat bruce!!!look at my fats!!!its amazing!!!

  • Did I say anything like that? What I was driving at is this. Someone's selected for the demo, you walk up and stand casually facing them and explain in a friendly way what you'll demonstrate. Then you say: "so, you'll stay there, and I'll move further away like this, and now I'll punch, ok...?" and 90% chance they'll stay in an indefensible position. It's Vince's position here that's the issue, as he's at a massive disadvantage before Bruce even begins the punch.

  • bruce demonstrated on others in their own position

  • noob

  • Tonester D. Bruce was not trying to show that the "opponent" couldn't block or defend against his punch. He merely had the man stand there as a target as it would not look as interesting to the audience if he was simply punching to the air with no counterpoint or context. What Lee WAS showing here (as he stated to the crowd via the mic Jhoon Rhee was holding to his mouth) was that his Jeet Kune Do punch was quicker & more effective than a traditional Karate type punch (which he also performed).

  • Thanks for the clarification. Makes a lot more sense than the claims below... :-).

  • plus this wont be possible without the snapping and bodily strength he apply

  • Basically the guy on the right was the then karate world champion and Bruce lee had appeared as a guest, Bruce asked him to attempt to stop any of these punches but only to act as soon as he threw it, Out of 8 attempts Bruce would of landed 8, so it was unstoppable in that theory

  • ooooooh, shit......

  • First of all putos.... There is 2 punches in the first one wich is not on slow mode. And then the last 3 are all the same typical JKD STRAIGHT LEAD PUNCH with super SLOW MODE. Fucking use your brains people and actually do some research etc. then come and say your "truths" again and talk shit :)

  • you could never block that punch

  • and this is unstoppable why ?

  • dumbhead its shown in slow motion... sucker u cud get killed by bruce lee in under a minute and u wudnt know about it!

  • Look up some of the physical feats bruce lee was able to do because of hard work and years of training. bruce was not just a "movie guy", he was the real deal!

I won't even get started on his career as a martial arts TEACHER (and master!).

  • of course, because u r a boxing fanatic and your head is as thick as your fist.

  • i would like to see some better footage of the "unstopable punch" becouse this looks like a guy paid to stand still whie l the other flngs his fist in his face.

  • he demonstrated on alot other ppol

  • this dosn't prove anything, the footage looks shakey ,look like shit.

  • it was in the 60's dumb shit, of course it's going to be poor quality filming

  • Ok cyber bad boy keep sparing the keyboard. None the less the footage is bull shit any one can recreate that effect . Dumb shits are people like you who choose to believe that kind of malarky

  • it goes to show. practice makes perfect! :D

  • Too Right, Practice practice practice. In Bruce lee's book "the art of expressing the human body", cant remember who stated it but it says that bruce did near 1000 full strength punches every day as "Practice / Training" I'm buggered after a couple of hundred, can't imagine doing that many @.@ Peace and productive training all :)

  • If you ever heard of it before, he did it 8 times in a row. The guy probably stood during one or two punches, but not again. and by the way, that punch was at the face of Vic Moore, the champion of Karate at the time. He asked him to block or dodge the punch.

  • seriously dude, get your facts streight. this wasnt some done behind a house slow motion fake movie stunt. this was during a martial arts tournament and was done officially. neither this or the one inch punch are fake

  • i guess thats a Jun Fan Gung Fu cross

  • well i dont think hed take grandmaster kwok down..

  • i think he was and coulda been even greater.. but death caught up to him.

  • OMG!! his punch look as if its as fast as the flash from the camera and i bet it is too

  • hardest man ever! take any big guy down before they could even throw a punch

  • insane

  • Amazing!

  • @shaolinlongfist how?!

  • @MegaClamps watch his demonstration with Victor Moore you'll see why its amazing :)
