the max power and torque at the end wasn't impressive... well at least the power. stock it came 286hp so 245 is a huge drop in horses. :(

Flywheel and wheel horsepower are completely different things. If the car makes 286 at the motor, it's ofcourse making less on the wheels because of drivetrain lossess and other friction lossess (wheels, brakes, axles).

245 is good for stock EVO, thats about 290hp on the motor.

Evo for the record are the shiznit got a 9 myself sti cost way to much to mod and when you do, you don't get much power back. I watch sti videos and evo always has them beat handling acceleration now what sti biatch.

Actually I had a 2004 STI and now have a Evo 8. The STI is better for what it is designed for. Off road rally while the Evo sucks at it though it its purely a rally car also. Unless you go with a euro version which is totally not.

The STI also had a WAY higher top speed then the Evo. The evo has about 280hp while the STI had about 304.
