I like using the hunting rifle because of it's power but are there any other guns you would recommend I myself like to use the chinese assault rifle when I come up against a gang of supers and their centaurs I'm only level 4 because I haven't done many side quests but I can't find any good weapons except the rifles and the fat man

go to the super-duper mart if yer lucky ull get a compact shotgun or sawn-off shotgun. As last resort use laser/plasma weapons

its kinda late lol but the hunting rifle was also my favorite until i found lincolns repeater ( museum of history right by the washington monument ) and that gun is just like the hunting rifle but for me it does 50 damage and holds 15 bullets a round the only thing i dont like is the ammo is kinda hard for me to find ( .44 ) idk y tho...

Ok, i avoided the area which froze and did a bunch of side quest, deleted some saves and returned to the part it froze at, i was able to go throught the door and get tothe part where your dad dies only for the door to leave the rountnda to freeze
