In SC4 war häufig die Verbindung eine derbe Katastrophe, besonders dann, wenn der Gegner irgendwo aus Ostasien oder aus Südamerika kam. Bisher kam ich noch nicht in den Genuss online spielen zu können aber ich werde dann ja sehen, ob die Übertragung und Verbindung besser bzw. fließender ist. Es wäre auf jeden Fall wünschenswert!

I LOVE soul calibur 4 but for some reason I find this game more intense and the online so much funner. Sure the game has its flaws, but not where it counts. For example its gay comic book cutscenes. Its only a cutscene so it doesnt matter, but they did make lots of improvments in customization.

@CamoSniper87 idk, i found the comic style scenes to be neat but the cutscenes were alot more rewarding personally (probably because there were so many comic style scenes "xs). the online is DEFINITELY better too. i can actually do my netplay training in this iteration without connection issues whatsoever :)

@SparktehFox there's a slight amount of recovery time between it, plus you can just guard/ impact it for your benefit. so spamming will probably get you raped...literally. also just hitting normal "a" is something that can be ducked under and typically avoided so yeah...not a wise choice against even a mildly experienced player.

Oh, you mean "A" attack as in normal horizontal swing not "A" button as in guard. I was saying that if you spammed "A" on the xbox version of Soul Calibur the character that is spamming the button would just be constantly blocking since that button is guard under default settings.

it was nice to see new people pick up the game and all, but i'd rather be teaching them than watching them smash the (a) attack button until it breaks. because thats not learning. thats just playing like every kilik i ever fought against in sc4. it's boring, gets repetitive and the worst part: you dont gain anything from it

@Ezio43 Thats what half of our world of gamers seems to not understand. They feel practice is too tedious and boring I believe. Versatility and how to effectively use it is true skill in my opinion. I guess its too hard for people to grasp that spamming isn't skill in this day in age lol. Maybe that is also why very few people respond to comments on the subject as well lol.

but, but, I like SFIV. And I can use ridiculous looking combos against people that think the game is all gimmicks and special moves. I like using Cammy and Zangief, but I'm also great with Sagat and Ryu.

@SparktehFox i can understand and respect that :) i just never found the combos in the game to look...natural, ya know? like in comparison to blazblue, or soulcalibur; even if the combos arent as long in soulcalibur, the links looked alot more natural and not like they were pieced together randomly. i really respect the level of play in ssf4 where combos are natural to the player, but i couldnt play the SF games the way i enjoyed is.

I agree, compared to Tekken which is the game ive been playing alot since release to now the combos look better and i think it looks better than the other fighting games too. Its definitely more entertaining to see a skilled fight but if i can spam a +frame move and some noob keeps trying to hit buttons and i beat the match by doing 1 move over and over ill do it. Mindless button mashing definitely isnt that pleasing and most noobs are annoying because they are unpredictable wth no plan.

Basically most noobs will just mash buttons with no gameplan or strategy nor they understand any kind of mixups or anything so its really boring to play against them, and its not even worth wasting your time trying to play smart.

In SFIV I can overwhelm my opponents with combos but I've never been utterly fascinated and normally just end up pissing off my opponent. In GGX I'm able to overwhelm my opponents with amazing combos that look stunning and always please and when I pull off a combo in SC correctly it's always amazing.

@SparktehFox i couldnt agree more about combos in GG and SC. i've never been able to pick up guilty gear and do anything incredible, but in BB i can play lambda like a fiddle "xs. im giving up my chance to purchase extend to get Sc5 collectors edition. this is the franchise that got me into FG's and im not gonna leave now. not after 6 games of 3d ooey gooey badassery. especially since this is the best one yet to me.

@ShiroKreuz i just think it'd be more entertaining to see a fight with a badass combo over someone hopping back and forth poking your foot. it's not like spammers are hard to beat i just find them annoying to deal with. idk about you but to me it's dumb to deal with someone who has no clue how to play that just hits the vertical attack button over and over. i LOVE teaching people how to play, dont get me wrong, but it just irritates me when i know the person doesnt care to learn anything at all.

@Ezio43 I may inherently be disapproved of kilik players a TRUE kilik user will be much scarier ppl mistaken my play style as a masher but if they watch closer I'm planing my upper and lower attacks and keep a offensive front to prevent them from keeping their mind straight while guarding (casually with this if I have special effects on I just put shave dmg and a soul drain) this forces them in horrid situations just like my nightmare style I'm not great at the game but I have my styles

But then I learned how o actually play with Raphiel and D.Jin's playstyle. I used to get demolished by Xiba spammers, now when ever I wreck one as D.Jin they rage quit. -_-

I am not a fan of all these new cocky teenager types. Soul Calibur used to have believable characters, but now most of them are just annoying. I don't believe for a moment that Taki would take on someone like Natsu, an arrogant girl who clearly doesn't care about much at all, on as her apprentice.

Ninjas acted like ninjas should, samurais acted like samurais should... warriors in general acted more like real warriors would than these soul calibur 5 types. Pyrrha for example. No confidence, apparantly very little skill (does damage by falling on her opponent etc). Her personality makes little sense for a warrior.
