  • just finished watching this vid again and it's hard to think just a year and a half ago we were in such a mess. Fast forward to know and things are looking a little brighter Management is solid with fletcher burke wilson nonis and allaire.

we got some young players like graboski schenn kuelmin the monster and plus we got guys like Kadri and didamenico (sp?) in the system.

If the rumored deal for kessel goes goes down it will give us a legit star to build the offense around.

    GO LEAFS GO

  • Sundin, Tucker, Wellwood & Steen........ hmmmmmm

  • i have that pen , with the light in it to Lol.

  • nice call on tucker wellwood raycroft

  • Wow, I DID call that! I didn't even realize. Thanks!

  • and i aCTUAlly think that blake will be better this year cuz last year he was diagnosed with cancer so he might be more comfortable this year.........also u should add ur call on wellwood raycroft and tucker on ur next vid ( and say thx to andre :))

  • Haha I'll try

  • Funny how they left at the end of season and not the deadline.

  • so happy he was fired

that TML light thing u have is sweet

  • I agree with you on who will be gone.. it would be stupid for them to trade Blake.. since he is sick with cancer, and they signed him for 5 years..

  • Lmao!

    I love kansas!

  • is that a chat forum? im not a part of any forums :P ive been invited to hfchats and stuff

  • what the hell ever happened to jeff oneil

he kinda just dissappeared last season.

  • he's a complete free agent. i heard ottawa wanted him earlier in the season. i doubt thats still the case

  • but wasnt he a really good player once?

  • 40+ goals!

  • yeah exactly what the hell happened!? he wasnt that expensive was he!?

btw nice win this afternoon! WOOT WOOT!

  • don't forget, he had Satan and Yashin on his line..

  • i wouldnt be surprised if wellwood and/or steen get traded. they will both want raises they dont deserve this summer. swapping them for other young players or packaging them up with our trash players in order to dump salary would be good idea

  • Ferguson was only hired in the first place because A- he would work for less than a real experienced GM, B- management could TOTALLY control what moves he could make and how much money he could offer.

Ferguson accepted it instead because he knew what he was getting into BUT it would be a stepping stone for him to break into the GM ranks. Which it sure looks like now as he has just now gained all kinds of attention and respect thruout the league.

  • As a Leaf fan:Tucker can go!Sundin can go!Wosniewski can go!Stajan can go!<--He is a good player but too many teams run him over!Blake can go!

  • I dont see the Canucks giving up Bourdon AND Kesler. Personally, I'll take Bourdon. He's a defenseman and he's cheaper. Teams that sell don't aim to get guys with multi-million dollar deals

  • Wow! Where did you get that Leaf's light? Thats sick!!! :D

  • this t-shirt store at Younge and Shuter thats shutting down

  • with fergie gone and fletcher in do you think the leafs will win more?

  • i doubt they would trade steen but wellwood is a possibility...

  • i can't see antro or tucker going anywhere anytime soon....

  • stick with welly and steen, they're still young & had decent seasons with no leadership besides mats! strachans an idiot, what team has 16mil in cap space? trade woz, poni, antro, devereux, gill, tucker, stajan, clemmensen...package them how you like some teams will want them. bring up pogge for a bit(5-10games) & send raycroft down to get some shots, if hes not better after an ahl stint he never will be, just look @ aubins little streak after he spent some time in the ahl!

  • 5-10's too long. I stand by my belief that Pogge's better served having a deep playoff run with the Marlies this year. make him the undisputed starter over Clemmmensen the year after with 2 or 3 3-4 game call-ups, then bring him up the following year. A lot of the players you want to trade are wishful thinking, but I agree with your Raycroft AHL idea.

  • man fuck trading poni, antro, and tucker. maybe devereaux and gill. i'd leave stajan too. tucker brings the occasional offense and tons of grit and motivation, poni and antro have great chemistry, and i can smell them turning up the heat any time now and producing some points. as for woz, he sucks and needs to go.

  • I can honestly say that i would rather lose wellwood then steen, steen will have alot of awesome good years in the NHL

  • glad you agree. I don't know if it's from the surgery, but wellwood looks TERRIBLY sluggish out there

  • I had read that San Jose has interest in Raycroft (yes Raycroft) and a top 6 forward not named Sundin. I'm thinking it's Antropov because how well he compliments other big men on his line (Thornton). Dont know what the return would be...

  • that'd fetch a few decent picks or a prospect. I'd take goalie propect Patzold off of them because they don't want him, and he could back up Pogge in the AHL. Along with that I'd settle for at LEAST a 2nd and 3rd round pick. We dump a goalie, they dump a goalie, we get picks, they get a player. Win win.

  • If fletcher is smart, and I think he is, he would trade Kaberle to...lets say, San Jose. If he did that, that would almost force teams like Calgary, Vancouver, Anahiem or Minnisota to improve too, raising the value of Sundin and Tucker or anyone else.

  • trading kaberle would be a stupid move because he is the leafs best defenseman and the only defenseman on the team who has stayed relatively consistent throughout the year, and he gets payed less than mccabe and kubina

  • Kaberle is one of my favorite players and i would hate to see him go, but the reasons you stated why he shouldnt go, are the same reasons that he might go. In his prime, great contract, and is signed to 2/3 more years. He might be able to fetch a better return then Sundin in my opinion. If we trade Sundin and Kaberle, your looking at 3 GREAT prospects, and atleast 2 first round picks (3 including our own) + good young guys coming our way. Thats a rebuild...

  • Trading Kaberle isn't smart and here's why: He's on of just 2 or 3 Leafs that's actually considered a BARGAIN. He's a $4million all-star. GREAT offensivly, though not great defenseively. If he's to be traded, you better JACK the pricetag.

  • Kaberle is pretty solid defensively too. i think they're most consistent defencemen are kubina and white. gill has been pretty good too. im disappointed in woz though...

  • please don't buy into the burke hype. it aint happenin'

  • Also, considering aaaaaaaalllllll the troble we've had defensively this year, I think maybe that is an area that needs to be adressed above anything else. I remember reading we have I think the second highest paid defence corps in the NHL, and to say we arent getting our money's worth is putting it nicely.

  • very nicely

  • I LOVE the Sundin/Rayroft Idea. Theres no way hes staying in Toronto but that way would be better than simply waiving him for sure. The ONLY problem there is Any conteder we'd want to trade Sundin to, why would any of them want Raycroft? If they're contending what is Raycroft going to bring to the table for them

  • No it's not that they want Raycroft. They don't it's that we're saying "Look, we're doing you a favor giving you Sundin, part of the deal is taking this guy off our hands, too"

  • Man that is a cool Maple Leafs light. Raycroft, once a Bruin, always a loser.

  • carry on wayward son

  • WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

    Go Leafs Go

  • please Fletcher, not Welly.

  • buckle up, this should be fun

  • im scared man....im scared

  • HA HA I woke up to "Carry on my Wayward Son" this morning.

  • I heard today that if Mats Sundin is traded, it is all but guaranteed that he will not return to Toronto next season.

The next few games will tell us what will happen before the deadline.

    Cheers, Carmie.

  • I heard that as well Carmie. That's why I'm against it. I know we could get a lot for him...but honestly, without him we're screwed.

  • listen, if they're going to blow up, they have to commit to it. I love Sundin, but it's time

  • Yeah, but Fletcher is leaving it up to Mats. So we'll see.

  • I was reading an article today and Belak said that he doesn't believe Mats will waive his NTC.

I'm against the Sundin trade only because it's not 100% guaranteed that he would come back in the summer. But hey, that's just me.

  • That light is friggen awesome, but I feel sorry for JFJ, he wasn't the best GM in the world but still hes gone through alotta shit in Toronto, but my friend is going to the game tonight, lucky asshole. But if Sundin is traded, he better not pull off a Ryan Smyth and not come back. And I like Tucker, I don't want him traded plus you couldn't get too much for him unless he was attached with Sundin or in a big trade.

  • Best video yet! Best thing to happen to the Leafs yet. Best flashlight and song combination. Im curious to see what Fletcher will do 1st.

  • Two words WOO HOO! I wonder what his first move will be?

  • to cure his horrible man tan

  • whatz the song u played at the beginning.? cya fergie.

  • Carry on my wayward son - kansas

  • I thought I saw it all when you pulled out the Leafs stocking but a Flash Light. Come On... What will they think of next?

  • It's also a pen!

  • lmao i have that very same pen. nice video once again.

  • haha i have the same pen here in vermont

i torture all my bruins fan friends with it
