This is water from deep, deep down in the well. What an amazing groove.

this is rare... it's the clearest sounding recording of Sonny Boy I've ever heard of as well

Harp player sounds like John Lee "Sonny Boy" Williamson. An under rated player in my opinion.

Very good song!
Harper is Hammie Nixon (almost sure, absolute his style)

You know I sit and I wonder and I look out, boys with tears all in my eyes (2x)
You know I want to get outdoors so bad, but Sonny Boy you know that I am scared that I would die.
You know it's so cold up north, the birds they cannot hardly fly (2x)
But everytime I step outdoors, the wind whisks put the water out my eye.

@banjochris good transcription. i think though, that the part where you wrote "I sit and i wonder and I look out..." should be "i sit in the window and I look out".

Here's the jist of it (in 2 comments) -- not too sure about the last line of the last verse:
Now I'm goin' down south, I'm gonna stay until winter's gone (2x)
And when winter gone, then maybe I will go back home.
And I can't stay in the north, you know I ain't got sufficient clothes (2x)
You know when the wind get to blowin', Sonny Boy, you know I'm even scared to go outdoors.
