I'm not a musician but if I remember correctly, Geminiani was a student of Corelli's and edited his Christmas concerto into this.

I personally prefer the version by Jacques Ysaye myself.

@sebarm86: Indeed, this is an arrangement by Geminiani after Corelli's Sonata Op. 5, no. 12 "La Follia" in concerto grosso form. Besides the orchestration, which is fantastic, there is also an extended concertino solo of 4 instrumentos (string quartet) and a few variations slidly different from the original sonata.
