If I replaced the Radeon 4650 with the 3870, how well would crysis run maxed?

Really? Because my 4650 runs crysis at high with an average fps of 20. Yet I've seen the 4870 run it maxed no prob.

my old desktop is starting to piss me off... i can not even run this game on high because of my spec...the only good thing in my computer is my ati sapphire 4850 the rest sucks :O im gonna build a new one tomorow ill buy a intel core i7 920 with atleast 12GB of ddr3 ram 1600 mhz and with 1TB hard drive XD and ill put my video card on it and it will be a beast!!!!

Hmm... Would this game run how well with these specs:

Pentium DualCore 2,80Ghz

Sapphire 3870 512mb GDDR4 (<- if I bought it)

2Gb RAM (Don't know which speed, but it shouldn't make a big difference in graphics)

I am not a computer "pro" so I don't actually know how to dig out my full computer specs.

That's all I need to know anyways.

It'll run decent at a fair resolution (maybe at around 1280 x 800). You can try higher settings and resolution and try to find a good setting you're comfortable with.

Sigh...please Google your answers first before commenting. Simple questions like this can be answered with Google. It should run fine, as long as you don't turn on a really high resolution. Those 4 GB of RAM will render useless unless you have a 64 Bit to recognize all 4

The 4770, that is an excellent card. Performing close to the 4850 yet, only costing around 100 U.S. dollars. Extremely recommended.

Crysis is a funny game. There are too many people spending thousands of dollars on custom computers, trying to get a good framerate in this mediocre game. Not knowing they can't really get it, thanks to the horrible Cryengine.

I didn't spend much at all for my rig and it runs Crysis just fine. 600 bucks was the ending price of my rig and it runs Crysis just fine. I think Crysis is an excellent shooter, letting you choose your way to your objective on a huge island. The Cry Engine is revolutionary in my opinion. Can't wait what else Crytek brings to the table.

I agree. Crysis was a great game, i played it on medium and it looked good, im getting one of these gfx cards either later this week or this week coming. I ordered it yesterday off newegg.
