I was there in 05 and didn't see or hear anything about it.

it was Emily O'Mahony's Subaru Impreza on the white adder stage i think... it was the stage with the huge watersplash anyway and forced the cancellation of the stage. i think the car just burned out, driver and co-driver unhurt.
