  • Im so sorry about your plant. I guess its rabbit or ground hog and they may only like the fleshy root (looks like stem) to ear. the leaves are grassy and they may not like to eat hard leaf blades while root (stem) is juicy and succulent. But the good news is its perennial so if the root is fortunately there it may come out again , keep it fenced this time !

  • well my dog ate mine and thats about what it looked like when he did it

  • Ground sqirrels, rabbits and others cause this kind of damage especially if it has been very dry. The critters get thirsty.

  • Well whatever did this managed to do it without eating the leaves. It's all very odd. I hope the root survived. I will try to be optimistic about that.
