Stuff like this clip makes me glad that the writers made Todd=Victor, meaning that all of this was inplanted memory and that he didn't sleep with his former victim but...If that be the case all 8 yrs of Todd's story becomes undone and the garbage written about Victor is given creedence. Oh, My head!!!!

It was a gang rape. And todd tortured himself and every relationship he was in since then. The real todd wouldn't never touch marty sexually. Even if he wanted 2. And I'm not saying this doesn't make good tv cause it does, but in MY opinion its just not something I'd would want to see.

As a long time soap viewer my recommendation is to not analyze all the stuff writers change that makes no sense. You could write a novel every year on things writers do that doesn't add up or drive yourself crazy. Like how Dani is so close to Starr's age (she would have been alive when Tea was still Starr's step mother). The whole Victor had the right to give Irene Todd's money was idiotic. I could go on and on about changes writer's made that we are supposed to ignore.

Spread the word!!! This video is living proof that the new Todd is the REAL Todd. If the writer's don't say that, then they're completely dropping the ball. Check it out at 7:09 and especially 7:12. He completely 100% remembers the rape. How could an imposter REMEMBER something he didn't really do. They even used the old 90's footage of the rape scene. Now in 2011 they're saying he's an imposter!!! Shame, shame, shame. How will they ever explain this video? They better think of something.

the thing i hate about this is that after this happen they said this was todd raped her to me it was more buyer remorses because he gave her a chance to go he didn't forced her to do it she was in love with she wasn't underage. It she wanted to be with the man she loved but then learn he lied to her. it was more she slept with him and got burned in the end so she want payback. Now the 1st time back in 93 that was raped this time it wasn't

I really liked them but after everyone including Marty found out what Todd did they all hated him and she wanted him to kill himself it was just a mess and I haven't liked her since. I really liked how sweet he was to her though and I really liked their love. Now no one argue with my comment please cause I know people can look at it different then me.

I agree, I can't believe it's been a whole year since the November reveal The writers need to find a way to put Marty in Todd's orbit once again. I find the Todd and Marty scenes to be dark, fascinating and intense. I think that some of TSJ's work is when he is scenes with SH. The same was true of RH. They seem to step up their game in scenes with her.

But my thing about the whole Tarty situation is that it seemed like Todd was trying to do the right thing in the end before they made love because he knew if they did, they couldn't go back and to me, Marty kept on pushing it, you know, saying that the things he did before doesn't matter now and blah blah blah and then she turns around and gets mad at him (I would be too but still lol) ! Yeah I didn't watch anything after Van went into a coma. I heard somewhere that they put these two together and I can't beLIEVE it. TSJ is like REG in that they have chemistry with everyone(which is why it was a powerhouse when they were together) but I still can't believe that they'd write this storyline. Todd/Marty is just taboo to me. I'd rather Todd be alone than with Marty. To each his/her own (lord knows my choice for Todd was not overly popular), but this scene makes my skin crawl.

I am NOT defending OLTL, and their decision to tell this story; however, I think the purpose of the flashbacks of the rape was to reveal Todd as a man with a conscience. Marty doesn't remember and she is totally in love with him. So, for Todd NOT to be affected by Marty's desire for him to make love to her, I would think that would be even worse. We get to see the impact that this relationship has had on Todd. The flashbacks were important to showing that Todd really has feelings for her.

I totally agree... I found the flashbacks made it very compelling, in the sense that he was very troubled and guilt about the situation. He loves her now, but he is haunted by what he did to her then, as well he should be.

These two actors have great chemistry. Although i feel a little uncomfortable watching this. I remember watching the rape scenes when they first aired. At least this is a different actor. I don't think that Roger Howarth (the first Todd) would have gone for this.

I'm a little surprised that Susan Haskell is going for it. I thought that she and RH said that they would never do such a storyline b/c it sends out a bad message re sex assault.

The one thing that's different with Luke/Laura is that Laura knew what was going on. Marty has no idea that he raped her.

Todd was always in love with Marty, this dark twisted and complex storyline, has always been my favorite one. And to think it all started with Marty, if John or Blair think they are going to separate Todd or Marty, they are so wrong. Todd and Marty will always be connected to each other. The writers wrote this storyline as tragic and heartbroken years ago,and I am so happy that Susan and Trevor has pick up where Roger and her left off. Luke/Laura was way before my time, too. I can understand why they keep bringing her back, but giving her an actual storyline would be better than having her wake up every three years.

Todd/Marty has potential. Yes, it's highly unrealistic and in real life it would never be a happily ever after, but hey, this is a soap. I hope they don't drop this just because of a little controversy. If anything that should make the writing better, and I'm sure Carlivati has plans for this.

Yup, that is what I liked about Todd, when it comes to Marty, he would do anything to redeem himself, and he would never have slept with her bacuase he knew what he did to her. I do think he was in love with her in his own weird way even when they met in 1993, as a matter of fact the way that she dumped him back then and him failing his college test because of their beakup is what triggered the rape.
