It's not a "conspiracy thingy." Wikipedia can have errors on it for a very long time before anyone notices and corrects them. If you are doing projects for school you should NOT rely on Wikipedia, just use it to find other sources that are more verifiable.

@7h3Master Wikipedia is A LOT more reliable and truthful than it was when this video was made (Sep 24 2008). Back in 2008 and earlier, ANYONE can edit ANYTHING on the website without getting any edits approved. Nowadays, EVERY edit now has to be approved. :)

OK what school says about wikipedia is a kinda of conspiracy thingy. Teachers say to never go on wikipedia because it's "unreliable", but the real reason is because they think when a kid uses wikipedia they aren't learning anything and just copying and pasting what's there. The thing I like about wikipedia though is that it gets straight to the point. What a normal website can explain in 3 pages, wikipedia can explain the same thing in 1-2 sentences.
