  • Tim is taking out the complication and mysticism out of "complicated" things and make it achievable for the "average" man if you want. I think he is seriously contributing to the acceleration of this world! A high level of Exchanging and learning new information is one of the main indicator on what level a society has achieved.

  • Here's an easier way to feel like the Hulk: buy some green paint, purple shorts & watch zeitgeist.

  • should i train only with kettlebell or could i train multiple programs at the same time

for exampe strenght training with pavel with deadlift and muscle building with the kettlebell. the problem is that doing that i am training 6 times per week is still a lot less than i am used to do but i think that i should probably train only three times per week, example two times to build muscle and one to build strenght. does anyone have any ideia about this

  • He speaks of Living with no fear. This is how you become a better person and release your potential. Live with no fear by combating fear itself.

  • This is an AWESOME approach to life.... krane121, you need to seek out some help for yourself...

  • @mspiezmillions haha...you're exactly what i mean. no individuals left. this guy is a child.

  • i am interested in learn japanese so i want to know how to write the name of the table with japanese caracters, could you help me by providing the name. thank you.

  • I hate his approach to life. HATE it. poison to culture.

  • tl;dw

  • How to feel like the hulk? Lemme know when your ripping apart tanks like paper.

  • Man, I love hearing you speak Japanese! Geeze, Tim is changing the world!

  • Man, I love hearing you speak Japanese!

  • @mikehill01 where's the link to this blog?

  • @mikehill01 show some proof, bruh. sounds like you're pretty false yourself... with your accusations.

  • @mikehill01 hahahaha - do yourself a favor and just read the damn book. I've had enough of you..

  • @mikehill01 Delete the spaces dick wad.

  • @mikehill01 Answer truthfully - have you even read the book? Either of his books?

  • @mikehill01 You obviously haven't read the book.. He also does a good job explaining How to Deal With Haters.

    You're an idiot.

  • @lucasfoley fourhourworkweek (dot ) com/blog/2007/ 04/29/from-geek-to-freak-how-i-gained-34-lbs-of-muscle-in-4-weeks/

Are you saying that he photoshopped those pictures?

  • @lucasfoley I gained 14 lbs of muscle in 50 days, and that wasn't even following a set plan like his, so I think if I'd tweaked it, I could've gained maybe 20 lbs in 50 days, which is still a huge amount.

  • fucking awesome

  • The guy is good at public speaking but I didn't find this informative at all. It was 16 minutes of him saying why he is awesome and then 1 minute of a "face your fears" wrap-up.

  • Tim sounds like the Tony Robbins of The New World Order. Why do I constantly hear him say outsourcing, letting people work for you for 4 dollars an hour or for free?

  • tim ferris if you read this can you, and i think you might like this one i want to be an oprah singer tell me how to train to belt out a high note and the sing angel like a high note

  • He's like a real life Jordan Chase.

  • God, I fucking hate motivational speakers.

  • @TheZanarin

He's not a motivational speaker, dumbass.

  • @TheZanarin He's not a motivational speaker, but you were too stupid to realize...

  • he could really benefit from a nice piece of humble pie

  • Comment removed

  • pay careful attention to his wording. it is clear that the man has read plato and socrates.

  • @BARRUMUNDII Yeah bra! Have you seen his pen tricks vid too?

  • this guy is great

  • Above anything, I think Tim Ferris is exceptionally driven to achieve all sorts of amazing things.

He probably makes us uncomfortable, when we compare our own achievements with his, but he's a shining example of human potential.

  • the man is a genius

  • Put a wig on him and he's David Lee Roth. I don't go for intellectual mumbo-jumbo. What did he say?? My head is spinning...

  • Here's the thing: EVERYONE is egotistical.

The very act of commenting online, of participating in a conversation by inserting your opinion, is egotistical.

What Tim is explaining here isn't "how to have humility." It's how to conquer your fear of something new and daunting by breaking it down to a science.

Then, when you've accomplished the thing that fear stops others from doing, you have something to share (and, yes, maybe brag about a bit).

  • That's what non-creative people do. They learn to get creative in efficient problem solving. No creativity beyond that skills at all. Doing things efficiently really can eanable you to be good at what you do, no matter what, unless it comes to a point where a quantum leap is needed, when you need to invent, instead of learning. At that point he'd be totally fucked.

  • He is just 50 to 100 years ahead of time considering the influence of technology. It takes a lot of time for humans to realize that the world's changed.

  • If he's 50 years ahead of time then nuclear holocaust is coming, dismembering our genome like ash in the wind.

  • Can u make 40K in a week -forget his 4 hours per week- working 40 hours per week using only the internet?

  • I'm not interested in making money. It is shamefully anachronistic. It got us into this mess, and is one of the reasons why people REALLY might be that dumb, greedy, mutated 50 years from now.

  • He's speech is just what it is like to be a brainiac with the money to be cool...

  • He might not be too hot at making millionaires

but lets be real - if you want to get a lot of attention in a short period of time, hes your man.

  • His words seem self-serving to me and his humility, false. It was unnecessary for him to mention that he was much more muscular and then lost 42 pounds of muscle before the dance photo. That didn't add anything to the story and came across as egotistical. He strikes me as a bit of a scam artist by his blowing of his own horn and false humility. I do not buy what he is selling.

  • Read is book about the tango...you'll understand where he's comin from

  • i couldn't agree with u more. hopefully he'll grow out of it in a few years.

  • "In 2008, he won Wired Magazine's "Greatest Self Promoter of All-Time" prize"

so i guess it's no surprise that he's so self-serving.

  • He is such a superb self-promoter that he didn't even reach class c of the celeb side show.

Greatest self-promoter would be Muhammed Ali, Schwarzenegger, Steve Jobs or Michael Jackson, not Tim Whatsisnameagain. But maybe you're joking?

  • The guy is very bad at explaining.

  • "The guy is very bad at explaining. "

He knows that. Yet he still tries. This is what he is trying to say in this lecture. NEVER let fear get in your way. Learn, and grow. And never give up.

  • No one should practice or fail or try in front of an audience.

He can do it all by himself all the time he wants/ needs, but you don't bother people in the opera when you can't sing. You practice like hell, but you don't perform so that everybody listening to you feels like hell.

I would also recommend to let fear get in your way, sometimes. I think youtube has some nice footage. Search "gone wrong".

I would also recommend to give up sometimes. Some plans are self delusion.

  • It sounds like you have put together a great recipe for total paralysis. Congratulations.

  • I think you should start to think.

Maybe you can overcome your horrifying lack of logic.

  • Horrifying lack of logic!? Oh no!!

What am I going to do now that you've blasted me so?

Going on living my happy life, I suppose.

  • Now logic is objective and scientific, but if you are following the religion of blissful ignorance I won't stop you hopeless (basket) case...

  • Ya know, your opinion would matter a lot more if you actually had a successful life to back it up. Tim Ferriss actually does. Take your self-delusion elsewhere.

  • I really don't know how you arrive to the absurd conclusion that you are in any position to make any assumptions about my life, but I guess it's a great deal of debility.

In that sense: I'm sure we don't share the same definition of success, even if you envy me.

  • I have made no conclusions about your life nor would I care to. The things I do know is that you are critiquing Tim Ferriss' techniques on life while you insert your 'absurd' 'self-deluding' -negative-connotation perspective on life. Post a video or a link of a blog or twitter or make some videos of yourself and your life if you wish to have any respect. This is your prerogative.

  • Why would I envy someone I know nothing about? I responded to your obviously ignorant albeit pseudo-practical perspective on life-

  • BTW your music is awful.

  • Effectivity over efficiency. Democrats pay heed.

  • Really interesting. I wish he could have expounded on his language learning system and what material over method means.

  • I like that Fora is uploading longer videos now. It really gives depth to issues and reminds me of our ever-favorite TEDtalks conference videos.

  • There are none so blind as those who will not see. if the detractors of Tim Ferris used only one miniscule of information he used to become a millionaire, they may think differently. But of course in order to think they have to use their brains. Problem!!!

  • so ur basically saying if we hav a diff opinion, we lack brains. way to go.

  • I'm disappointed in the comments and responses to this video... and this channel in general.

Not sure why ignorant people would choose to subscribe to a channel such as this... where critical thinking is the most important asset for the reader to have.

Great video and I found the guy to be interesting... as far as how he approached what he desired to learn.

More of us, including myself, would benefit greatly from his mindset especially concerning fear.

    Great vid!

  • who r u to call us ignorant? 'critical thinking' is not a trait solely reserved for fans of tim ferriss.

  • laughably egotistical.

  • such a show off.

  • so is this like the competitor for TEDtalks?

  • damn who's your girlfriend?!

  • ooohhh i care a lot. i bet everyone else does too.

  • I'm sorry that this passes for breakthrough information and a breakthrough personality. He didn't need to be at EG. This isn't brilliance or uniqueness. It sounds a lot like narcissism, his life and how (not) special he is.
