@NotoriousEgg89 It's not rice at all... You just think it is a rice exhaust because of the loud noise it makes. It is simply a circuit exhaust straightpipe design for optimum flow! Rice exhaust are those big ebay stainless steel fartcanons... They sound totally different. Sorry but you don't know what your talking about...

@musicresan *sigh* -_- IMO = In my opinion. Loud is nice it's just not what I like... IMO. I do reasearch on my car a bunch and go to the track 4-5 times in the summer so I do have some knowledge about RSXs :P. I myself have heard some serious custom straight pipe set ups (like an actual straight pipe to infront of rear wheels), and think they sound better IMO. No need to try to insult me, its just my opinion. To each there own.

P.S. RSR is discontinued for RSX I think not 100%

@whizzhead when tunign the engine, eco is remapped to remove it along with its compliant components... because to engage vtec you have to meet strict criteria... when you want instant pull from the engine... vtec just isnt good enough + all the power you can get as sonn as u can get it is required...

the sound of ITB's on a k20 sound much better then any vtec roar ive ever heard... and im a SIR civic owner.

also... why upgrade with an induction kit... their gains aitn worth it for the price.

Everyone....................th­e Vtec sound does not come from the exhaust, you can only really hear the exhaust from the back, its the engine which is the front, where the Vtec sounds even louder you put in a better intake.

@souless194 Totally 100% right. Im a Honda tech and i can tell u personally that the exhaust cam (or rockers depending if its a D series Vtec) does not have the Vtec profile. Only the intake cam has Vtec, so the Vtec sound u here is from the intake due to the fact that when u hit Vtec you're on the more aggressive cam profile (higher lift), so it suks in more air.

@danielchia23 If you're planning on driving your car as a daily, I DO NOT recommend it haha. I had a Greddy Evo II which was pretty which was loud, but not crazy loud and it drove me insane. I recently just slapped an 06 OEM RSX-S exhaust on my 02 type-s which is also the same as the type-r muffler, and it's the best thing I've ever done to my car. It's quiet for daily use, and loud on v-tech. It has a special valve that opens on v-tech which makes it sound hella sweet.

Believe it or not, the best one is the stock ITR. It's quiet for everyday driving, and loud when you need it to be (vtec). I switched from a Greddy Evo II to the ITR and LOVE IT!!!

I remember this all too well... I went with a friend to record some exhaust videos only to find out his DC5 RSX-S limits the revs only to 5000RPM when stationary! Needless to say, it was very disappointing to find that out.

However, I have reason to believe it has something to do with preventing the kicking of VTEC without a load or something like that.

its a color effect, those titanium finish get blue when they got heat. this one was purposely colored, made it look meaner. just go grind a metal realy hard, you'll see it turns blue.
