How much pF is that wine bottle primary cap? Do you have big corona losses when VTTC is runing? Making myself the primary caps for the next VTTCs seems to be one idea to keep it around.
Nice job on the VTTC. I recently finished my second perfected SGTC design. Check it out if interested. A lot more professional setup with custom built portable base... Producing slightly over 2 ft streamers with 290VA NST.
Hi Roger, That VTTC is nice. Be careful with cooling. 250deg C. is max. I notice the buzz with the voltage doubler, I like it. I haven't found any diff where the tickler coil is. Lenz tells us the direction the current is going in the coils. With 3 coils, each has mutual inductance with the other 2. I'll post another vid of my coil using a 1/2 wve doubler. Keep it up Roger!
Nice coil, always enjoy seeing your creations! Have you ever played with single wire power transmission, like what the original tesla coil was intended to be used for?
Brilliant! I was hoping you'd make some more videos. Whats the difference between this and the tesla coil and have you thought of transistors instead of the normal components of a tesla coil? I've seen some videos that are amazing and create little or no ozone. I appreciate the videos though. Keep the knowledge coming !
MY GOD, YOU'RE STILL ALIVE! Thank GOD your homemade electrodes didn't jolt you into oblivion, Roger Smith from Chillicothe, Ohio. Looking forward to some new videos. Stay smilin'.
Where did you get the 3CX2500F3 tube?

The wine bottle cap is about 1000 pf . losses are not too bad.

Amazing coil, watching through your videos left me in awe. I only hope that my VTTC will produce sparks 1/10th the size of yours!

WOW! That is a big spark for a VTTC!!

In the voltage doubler you use russian cap КБГ-П ? (KBG-P) 3kv*2uf

Great job! Do you have a schematic? I bought a 833 to upgrade my dual 812 tube VTTC. The 833 is huge!!
