So now I'm thinking, Karla got off like OJ, and that movie blows for making the viewer feel for Karla.
As well Bernardo has not been tried for the 20 odd (I think 27) rape charges that were brought against him by the crown. Perhaps they are waiting until the last possible minute to hopefully tack on more time to his sentence that he is now serving. 25 years is not near enough jail time for the acts that these animals performed let alone 12.
At no point were either Homolka or Bernardo charged in connection with the death of Tammy-Lyn Homolka although they should have been. Had they, the charges would have been brought after Homolka made her "deal with the devil" and she would have received a more palatable life sentence as opposed to the 12 years that she served.
Actually, though Bernardo was never charged, Homolka was. During her "confessions" for the deal, she admitted what had happened to Tammy (at least her version), and for her part in her sisters death, they tacked two years onto her ten year sentence for the other murders. That is why they could not have come back and brought more charges against her afterwards, though why they never bothered to charge her with the rape of Jane Doe is another story.
Her deal stipulated, even after the two years tacked on for Tammy, that if she was found to have stopped the life of any of the girls the deal would be void. I'm pretty sure that she administered the noxious drug to her sister, not Bernardo.
Regardless, the cunt is free now and living a better life than most Canadians do in the Bahamas.

Man you hit the nail right on the head and sunk with one shot. Me and my dad are allways talking about how the justice system here is a joke and how much better a counrty like russia's is. In Russia Homollka would've hanged and creamated 15 years (what she deserved); over there the criminals have no rights which is the way it should be; here in Canada we acctaully defend the rights of the criminal utter bullshit. The criminals should be made examples of so no one elese will commit the crime.

hmm sounds like sweden, its kinda worse over there actually, if you say you were under the influence of alcohol, you kinda get a softer punishment. Most often there's community service and that's it. But if they catch you with a gram of green then you're probably looking at a year in jail. You see the government doesn't care what's best for you, only what they can make money out of, while keeping the people in control

If those tapes had been submitted to evidence, and the warrents weren't so fucking restricted, she wouldn't have gotten out at all. But now aparently the police have GIVEN her an alias. Us canadians have the right to know if who we are dealing with is a someone who raped and murdered her own little sister and then 2 others.

The police should have done their job better in this case the video tapes where right in front of their faces they didn't even need to offer karla immunity but they didn't do their job. then the justice sytem let everone down by giving your only 12 years for 3 peoples life but on the other hand her mother has always stood by her side even though she killed your sister tammy , so Karla has had it easy all the way around.

I just watched KARLA and during the whole movie I felt bad for Karla. Then Google showed me what's really going on. During the movie I thought Karla was this victim too. But reading everything I did on the internet makes me think "wait a minute, who the fuck marries someone and knows they're killing raping and killing people and is cool with it to the point that they help them out?!" As well Bernardo has not been tried for the 20 odd (I think 27) rape charges that were brought against him by the crown. Perhaps they are waiting until the last possible minute to hopefully tack on more time to his sentence that he is now serving. 25 years is not near enough jail time for the acts that these animals performed let alone 12.

At no point were either Homolka or Bernardo charged in connection with the death of Tammy-Lyn Homolka although they should have been. Had they, the charges would have been brought after Homolka made her "deal with the devil" and she would have received a more palatable life sentence as opposed to the 12 years that she served.

Actually, though Bernardo was never charged, Homolka was. During her "confessions" for the deal, she admitted what had happened to Tammy (at least her version), and for her part in her sisters death, they tacked two years onto her ten year sentence for the other murders. That is why they could not have come back and brought more charges against her afterwards, though why they never bothered to charge her with the rape of Jane Doe is another story.

Her deal stipulated, even after the two years tacked on for Tammy, that if she was found to have stopped the life of any of the girls the deal would be void. I'm pretty sure that she administered the noxious drug to her sister, not Bernardo.
Regardless, the cunt is free now and living a better life than most Canadians do in the Bahamas.
