  • @rammsteingod666 yeah it's called sil lum tao

  • @rammsteingod666 Hi fellow rammstein fan i dunno what you have been taught but i prefer kungfu on the street than kravmaga i trained jeetkunedo concepts and personally think kungfu is more realistic and what you need on the street but then i trained differently to you..what i do know is that i can easily pick up other martial arts techniques having done kungfu..best wishes :)

  • @rammsteingod666 It was developed from shaolin monks, (hence shaolin boxing) known peace advocates. Honestly animal kung fu is intense training, spiritual enlightening, yes it actually does have very good fighting techniques but it has lost its potential as the world has modernized. I would trust myself in a fight more with say Krav Maga training.

  • tiger claw monkey fist mantis claw snake head eagle claw

  • you can learn the 5 animals of kung fu tiger, monkey, snake, mantis, eagle.

  • i know but u can do kung fu so you can fight but wing chun isn't the biggest style ever northern shaolin kung fu is the biggest and greatest and it is popular in fighting

  • @Sambuca41 I'm sorry you have entered a no troll area do not reply or post another comment or you will confirm you are in fact a troll and there for a giant dick good day sir.

  • nah i let my fighting do the talking and in the end we will see who the better fighter is

  • Ughh in my op-ion i think you will have more balance with both feet on the ground this is just asking to get beat up

  • @curtissparker wow...

  • Hi ive heard from a friend of mine who knows kung fu that he knows spots on your body that when touched can literally stop you heart beating. Does anybody know whether this is true? I myself think that there are no such spots on your body and he is just making that up to appear cool. I think it belongs to hollywood and even though i know of many common weak spots on your body there is no such think as a spot that can instantly kill you. Does anybody seriously know what the story is? Thank you.

  • @CzechShooter Well if you just manage to get your enemy on the floor and press down on their throat, it kills....

  • @CzechShooter I don't think they can instantly kill you, but you can certainly target the vital points, like the carotid artery, that when hit can cause loss of consciousness due to the lowering of blood pressure. Are those the "weak spots" you are talking about?

  • that's DU LI BU position, a basic wushu standing

  • Comment removed

  • Kung Fu is like Art to me! LOL ill learn this someday :D

  • Worst fighting stance ever. Every thai boxer knows that this is the worst way to defend against a low kick. Having the foot plantar flexed while lifting the knee is retarded. A knee from the crane stance is a joke too.

  • @TheKrypteian You can see it in an other way, if your in a low and long position, you can step back and take this position to dodge low kick. I think that we have to practice a martial art before juge it. When we get a base on a martial art (at least 8-10 years), we can began to see what our strong points and weakness. But we can't juge without knowing the base of an martial art, it to easy i think

  • just so you guys know strength beats body building

  • @ HordeFTW111 martial arts is like a religion to some if you were to see them train you would think different they say that you have to train till it is like breathing

  • Crane stance is supposed to build balance and flexibility. You don't actually stand on one foot during an actual fight. If you do use it in a fight, you do so lighting-fast. It's mostly useful for point-matches. Also, I laugh at how a lot of youtube haters are computer potatoes that sit around doing nothing but spamming all day. Martial artists work out and develop skills meant to incapacitate someone should they have to. TL:DR: Shut up, fatties.

  • YOU'RE THE BEST AROUND. NOTHINS EVER GONNA GET YOU DOWN

  • HE'S THE GUY OF PRAYER MANTIS XD

  • Errect. Lol

  • My inspiration was seeing a Master beat down 6 marines in my father's bar. when i say beat down i mean crying and holding their noses and groins.... so fuck off haters...or I'll make you.

  • "You just want to keep yourself erect and strait"

  • u wanna keep erect and straight lol , kung fu is bullshit

  • The crane stance definitely will not work in a fight :-\ I say this coming from a martial arts background.

  • You're not the only martial artist around here. Sure it won't work if they don't attack head on, but you don't stand in it for extended periods of time. And not every techniques is good for everyone.

  • THis is fake and Gay >> please stop being hypocritical this is stupid =( GTFO for the goodness of mankind =( LMAO

  • This guy sounds just like Seth Macfarlane

  • I loled so hard. They are really serious... daaamn.

  • what the fuck, Have you been drinking Captain Morgan Rum?

  • i think jim beam xD

  • My 2 cents:

Never, ever, make fun of any guy who can perform the proper "Captain Morgan" stance. He might easily kick your butt.

  • lol thats really funny.

  • @onesqr

Does that mean that I'm in trouble?

  • XD so that guy with Captain morgan style may also know how to treat the opponent's mom ^^

  • 1:09

    ok i will :D

  • americans always like this, when they know any ridiculous thing they just film it and add it to youtube ...CRAP

  • i am that guy cool hu

    )

  • piece of crap..

    poser

  • what is this?! It thought Expert Village would teach you how to use an Akai MPC machine, but they also teach u kung fu! that's funny!

  • i never seen anyone doing any stance with their hands on their hips- like to see him try and fight like that- would be better to practice sprinting

  • hehe everything straight and erect

  • THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!

  • 1 Low spinning sweep kick and the crane stance is gone.. Lol

  • he said erect lol

  • Hes hot looks like vin diesel

  • Even the other dude don't seem so happy ( guy on the left WITH HAIR)

  • standing on one leg during a fight really makes sense

  • sense...this video makes none

  • thats bullshit you dumbass!!! There is no "proper" way to perform a crane stance!

  • lol how wuld jeet kun do kill kung fu jeet kun do is based on northern kung fu. and long1468 is right. good to see a bruce lee fan

  • people tend to get defensive about the martial art that they practice and think its the best (much like people with religion)

  • yeah i agree. i mean i understand people loving their martial art but theres no reason to down other peoples martial arts

  • the man on the video is my shifu and today he told me the same thing lol ur so right!!

  • yerovi do you know Dylan Foote?

  • wait i thought you spell it xuafu well wat ever who cares lol

  • @HordeFTW111

LOL! I didn't know that WoW players train kung fu... I supposed to be the only one.

  • @CRTVBR haha

  • @HordeFTW111 true... Muay thay defense to kung fu defense are wayy to different... one can beat another so u ahve to mix them all to be the best... MMA for example... but kung fu helps in parkour and vice-verse

  • lol bruce lee wud hate u for sayin that

his philosophy was that there is no best martial art

all martial arts r good for certain ppl and that ppl shud use aspects of martial arts that are good for them

  • When you said you want me to keep everything errect...............

Does that mean my penis too ?

    Just a thought.

  • ...

  • fasfsafas

  • Watch the kid at 0:45.

    He's freaking out.

  • There stance is ok i doubt they have any idea how to use it properly though and i just like the way he says

"you don't want to lean to far back you want to be completely straight, don't squeeze your hips forward you want to keep everything nice and erect and straight"

    unlike them. lol

  • Can anyone tell me why this stance exists, when a good long-ranged sweep kick can take out the rear leg?

  • them guys iz trollen

  • if someone tries to do that

obviously the person using teh crane stance would just leap at that guys face with his knee or a foot

  • Comment removed

  • I think that's stupid. Why stand on one leg when u have two..? Retarded.

  • lol

  • that's the most idiotic retarded piece of shit i ever seen !!! why don't you try that crane stance with me! i'll just take a rock and crack your head from 20 meters away!

  • i find it funny how some people think they can beat martial artists up. trust me, dude, don't even talk like that. i'd like to see you TRY to beat some one up who knows karate, or kung fu in this case. you make think your tough, but trust me you don't know how to fight a martial artist. just take my word.

  • okay, what does it matter to you who i am subscribed to anyway? and you are so uneducated, just because someone knowss karate, doesn't mean that all they do is go around beating people up. karate is taught out of self defense. and you try and talk like your tough. if we were in a street fight, there would only be 2 hits. me hitting your face, and you hitting the floor. BOOYAH!

  • dude, you scare me soooo much! im shaking! that's why they teach us knife defense, so fucktards like you can't even touch us with your lame blade.

  • bay i guess you're at that age marked by terribilism. go fuck yourself and calm down shithead

  • dont worry about shit heads like poison he thinks he is youtube togh guy, he talks all his shit over the internet so his fat ass is safe, as long as you and i and almost the rest of the world know that martial arts would kick the fuck out of any piece of shit that carrys knives

  • any martial arts can kick yoour ass poison. that stance is effective in a real fight againts dumbass like you because you think that you can kock them off balance when thats what the crane wants you to do, so they can kill you ass with a crane beak, and only pussys use weapons againts an un armed opponent, so i guess your a fagget pussie

  • @baytay360 i think the point to be made is that this is not effective...someone who practices how to fight can see the glaring holes in this...i am a wrestler, and if you stand on one leg i would shoot in and drop you to the ground...if i was a kickboxer and you stood on one leg i would kick the leg you are standing on. this is just a bad way to fight

  • @baytay360 What do you expect, this is the internet, everyone is a tough guy here.

  • @baytay360 we (idk if you are one) have lots of discipline, your tired of our whitebelt moves before where even a tenth done

  • @baytay360 You saying that fighting someone who knows karate/kung-fu is going to be difficult is as ridiculous as someone saying it would be easy. It all depends on the fighters involved. "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth" - Mike Tyson.

  • @baytay360

awesome point look up "real karate kid" and there is someone one that knows karate against a gang memebr and the karate kid wins

  • @baytay360 definitely. I would'nt wanna take anyone on...even if i'm twice their size!

  • @baytay360 agreed

  • Nick Scrima is my father.

  • whahaha i kick your ass weakling

  • kung fu seems more like yoga than anything else...If i want kick peoples ass and learn how to fight ill learn boxing, judo, sambo, bjj,or kickboxing. if i wanna survive a mugging ill just carry a gun or weapon

  • Judo??? Aikido is much better... And I prefer Muay Thai ore than Kickboxing...

  • aikido better than judo? facepalm.

  • You are a FUCKING RETARD AND HAVE NEVER DONE KUNG FU YOU RETARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • uh...actually i have. i've been taking it about two and a half years bro.

  • I wonder.. what kind of human would even be able to lift his knee up higher than the chest in an upright position.. (distance hip to kneecap is about 41 cm, distance hip to top of chest is about 55..)

  • of course grapplings arts dominate in an environment with rules. they are a relatively safe means of defense (safe as in won't inflict serious damage).

obviously an arm bar could break an arm, you think kung fu doesnt have an arm bar technique?

grappling arts have a lot of short comings in an environment that allows pressure points, eye gouging, hitting in the groin, etc...you know...real life.

if your grapple doesnt tie up their arms, you are close range with open vitals.

  • well i guess all i can say is that the world is full of a bunch of racist people who are extremely opinionated. a good martial artist is not judged by what ethnicity or color they are but by how proficient. this is a beginner's video and rather than get on here and talk shit, go learn the correct way, make a video of yourself doing it and then you can talk all the shit you want. take these little videos as "advice" and go learn from a master in real life!

  • i can prove you wrong mate.. in case it is the USER of the sport which do it good or not... mma fighter.. if u are good, well, then u can beat me.. but you cant say. mma, yeah it is so much better, cause the user makes the sport good, if he can handle it in a good way

  • mma fighter... talk shit, this is just an advice how to avoid get hurt.... if it works, do it, if it does not, use your fucking mma... i have been training 13 years Carate and kung fu, me against your fucking mma, lets see how good you are.... i have won swedish, european, world championships... so dont just talk shit.. many of u just post anything, and you cant even kick in real life.. just playin u know anything about kung fu

  • I learn MMA but my instructor started out in Kung Fu. I think both are good but the UFC is a joke.

  • the ufc has many of the best and most well rounded fighters in the world. you're completely ignorant.

  • chamelion in mortal kombat armegeddon has the stance

  • damn all ur comments about "lol dude *insert some kind of fighter or martial arts* can own this gay guy" are starting to get me really pissed......

just watch the damn video or leave

  • ha ha this is such a joke. These guys are such morons. An mma fighter would take them to the ground so easily and pound them out. This is so silly.

  • you have no clue what THESE guys can do with your "mma fighters", so shut the fuck up idiot

  • this crane style is a joke. not even applicable to fighting. mma fighters are some of the best and most well rounded fighters on the planet when you get into the elite high level of them. didn't you know that kung fu practitioners have fought in mma and have gotten their asses handed to them?

  • Some of them are good. UFC is designed for MMA. Kung Fu is striking... MMA involves many martial arts, meaning they can strike AND grapple.

  • For the record Kung-fu is not striking, it is striking, weapons, grappling, cooking, driving. Kung-fu is just a learned skill. MMA is kung-fu. That said, most old school kung-fu schools have always taught striking, grappling and GnP.

  • I know that kung fu is any skill ehisey, but I was referring to it as a martial art. I didn't know that kung fu (as a martial art) used grapples though.

  • Yup, Monkey styles have a lot of grappling in them and luv the GnP. GnP can be the bread and butter of Stone Monkey or Ape stylist.

  • its people like you who don't understand the esoteric and spiritual side of kung fu thats why you will never know how this fits in the big picture. the type of shaolin masters that don't fight for money wud kick mma fighters blindfolded, and i mean blindfolded. so leave all ur caveman style mike tyson boxin and ur "mma fighters" theories to urself lol

  • if theese masters would beat any mma fighter then how come their students have lost to mediocre mma fighters in kickboxing matches where they weren't even allowed to use the ground game?

  • cos ur moms was tooo busy suckin em off behind stage

  • you don't give a legitimate answer because you don't have one. proves my point even more.

  • you're ignorant of the ground game. it's already been proven that you have to have great takedown defense to even last with a submission fighter.

  • oh and caveman style boxing? it's kung fu that's old and caveman like. boxing is the evolution of punching and mma is the complete evolution of all around fighting.

  • im not trying to bash MMA or boxing or anything, but the thing is, the champions of MMA are just that. the champions of MMA. the most skilled kung fu practitioners in the world are most likely the shaolin monks, who have absolutely no intention of fighting for competition. no certain style of fighting is best. it just depends on the skill of each individual and how dedicated they are to their art

  • some styles are more usefull in a fight then others though. the only realistic kung fu i've seen is sanda or sanshou and some people don't even consider that to be a type of kung fu.

  • and even if someones style is good for fighting it's still not enough on its own for you to excell in mma with it. you have to be good at all three ranges of fighting to excell in mma nowadays. it's the evloution of fighting. way to many people are one dimentional.

  • personally, i taken shaolin kung fu. but one of the main ideas of our studio is focusing on realism. we only do things that would actually work in a fight. and yes, we also work on the ground game. but to be honest, we would suck in MMA, but only because the stuff we practice is actually damaging, like breaking arms and the like. although there is a lot of kung fu nowadays that only focus on the fancy flying spinning kicks...it's sad really

  • and mma's not damaging? ever heard of an armbar? that breaks arms. kimoras and americanas tear shoulder joints etc. do you know anything about mma? it has a little thing called brazillian jui-jitsu the single most dominating style in real fights. and yeah it's damaging. and i have yet to see a kung fu move even hurt someone let alone damage them. i've seen arms break in mma more than once.

  • Kung Fu is a style that encourages the application of combos. And Kung Fu is a collective terms of many styles, perhaps you are too quick to judge, pal. I am a Kung Fu practitioner myself...

  • but seriously some of your comments don't make sense. we wouldn't do well in mma cause we focus on stuff like breaking arms. that's like saying, we're not cut out for nascar cause we like to go fast. dosn't make sense.

  • that's not what i meant. i meant that kung fu is meant for self-defense. like if somebody is actually trying to kill you. if it was a life or death situation, would you actually use an arm bar? personally, i wouldnt. i would do whatever it took to take him out. yeah, UFC doesnt have many rules saying what you can and cant do. but it does still have them. that's the difference. in life or death situations, which is what kung fu is made for, there are no rules

  • yeah but just cause they use certain techniques in a ring with rules dson't mean that those same techniques aren't designed for no rules. as a matter of fact people have been using brazillian jui-jitsu in underground vale tudo matches for years. vale tudo is portugues for anything goes and it worked great for that.

  • and stuff like biting and eye gouging is survival techniques to get a mugger off you on the street so you can run away. but techniques in mma are good to completely dominate your opponent. i'd rather dominate someone then just survive.

  • that's the very first stuff you learn...the basics. later on once you get better, then you move onto the dominating stuff. and dont think im trying to say MMA sucks and kung fu is the best. im just saying that kung fu can be just as effective as MMA. it just depends on who the person is and how dedicated they are to their respective art

  • Comment removed

  • well, dominating someone is a way of survival too, but it could be harder. And if you cannot survive, you won't be able to dominate anyway...

  • hey, are you Northern Shaolin or Southern Shaolin student? I am predominantly Northern, but more of a mixed style.

  • it's 5 Animal. we focus on crane, leopard, snake, tiger, and dragon

  • That's Southern Shaolin~

  • Funny man, the dragon is not an animal but a symbol. Nice try though you must impress a lot of kids with your bullshit =) Right Bruce Lee Movie Wannabe...

  • ....it's a style bro. it's a combination of the other 4 animals. it takes pieces of each animal and uses them. it focuses on twisting, moving up and down, spinning. stuff like that. do your research

  • Not that I'm arguing with you about the mma fighter, but not everyone is an mma fighter.

  • vão tomar no cú moi de Filho de Rapariga!!

quem manda no Brasil é a Facção Jovem! moi de Pau no cú!!

    __X__TFJ+TJS+TJF__X__

  • nice but the hands??? Amd by the way... he could remove his hands from his hips!

  • lol

  • hahahahaahahah que ridiculo two gay

  • HAHAH WHAT MSG me on MSN. ID is in my profile. 8

  • LOL Kung Fu Panda style! but this time it's Crane style ROFL

  • An to think all thes years I've been doing it wrong!!

  • maybe, maybe not. Depends whether you n this guy are doing norther or southern style

  • right? #_# lol

  • I don't like how they have their hands on their hips. At my Kung Fu, that is regarded as a challenge (as well as crossed arms), and a Sifu will ask to fight you, but of course the students stop right away. I myself am in a southern style (Chuan Fa), but I still like doing kicks more then fists. I wish we didn't have a belt system, but we do, but each colour is progressively darker to simulate the belt getting dirty.

  • Oh yes man, thanks , for real ;)

  • I hope this helps. Feel free to ask me. Blesings.

  • ...cont...But as you advance, you will start taking courses only for more advance and knowledgeable students. So, to answer your question, it will all depend from one school to another. My advise is this: there's over 300, yes 300, KF systems. The Northern Styles, like mine, are more acrobatic and use lesgs 70% of the time, speciallt for strinking. Southern styles use arms 70% of the time. When you "shop around" for your new school, ask where it's from, North or South and you will have an idea.

  • So northern is more Lower body and Southern is more Upper body?

  • TEchnically speaking, yes. Northern styles rely on a more acrobatic system, more movable, more flexible, kind of Jet Li's style (his tyle is Wu-Shu, i type of Northern Kung Fu descendant from the Shaolin Temple). That's why he uses more kicks than punches. Southern styles rely more on a fix and balance stance and is less acrobatic. Tehrefore, since you use a fix stance, it uses more hands than kicks. Don't get me wrong: not necessarely a Northern style is better than a Southern...cont...

  • ..and viceversa, they are just different systems. I guess it all depends on what you are looking for. For example, for self defense, look for a Northern Style. Also, keep in mind something: the fact that it's 70 kicks and 30% punches does not means we don't use hands. In fact, we have over 15 basic punches and over 5 advance punches; just like we have over 20 kicks. The system rellies more on the use ok kicks, since less than 1% of the World population knows how to defend your legs...cont...

  • ...cont...So mostly and obviously it depends on the situation, we use our legs to begin a fight, since the knees (specially) are 1 of the weekest points in the body. In fact, a knee needs only 3 pounds of pressure to be broken. But like I said, it all depends on what your enemy does.

  • thanks, but as for mentioning the KNEES, i saw this documentary on martial arts on the Discovery CH, and they did like pressure measuring of strikes from different Martial Arts Pros, the Strongest punch was by a Heavyweight Boxer, the strongest Kick however was a knee shot [@ close range though]it beatout kickboxing score by >150%. Weak but deadly knees. Just thought id share the info

  • Knees take the least amount of direct force onto the joint to break relative to other leg joints.

Fingers are the weakest, they snap like twigs.

  • but fingers would be useless if you plan on striking the skull or the skelaton. Any fighter with common sense should realize when you strike with the fingers you aim for the vulnerables:Eyes, neck, hole below the neck, diaphram, organs, the fat under the arms, and the arm pits. and Trying to hyper develop is a waste of time, It doesnt take alot of physical force to kill. If you know how to do it anyway.

  • You're telling people ORGANS are viable targets for finger strikes, do you even know what the diaphraGm is? Or what is in the arm pit that people aim for?

How about the trachea? Heard of that? It's in that "hole under the neck" area.

Duh about the skelEton, but the rest? Just shut up.

  • fingers arent useless if you train them to be like iron. force concentrated on a small surface area penetrates

  • Nice... im on taekwondo and im thinking about KF, But I got a question, how much it takes to get your first kung fu test??? weeks months or is it the same???

  • Hi there. As a student (5 years now)in Tam Tui Northern PRaying MAntis Kung Fu, I can tell you that it all depends on the school and system you choose. "Americanized" schools are very "on schedule" regarding tests, training , belt ranking, etc. Traditional CHinese schools (like mine) don't use the belt system. The belt system was invented by Americans just to profit from the martial art systems. FOr instance, in my school I take courses with brothers that have beenthere 1-2 days..cont..
