Most likely the Indians ripped it off but the company that posted it, is pretty big so they must have bought the rights from the writers. You'd be surprised how many movies india makes with a majority of them being ripped off from another film.
I'm not sure which song came out first. I know Shakira's father is from the middle east somewhere so she does have the Arabic influence. I would think that Shakira's song came out first. Of course if anyone knows for sure I'm sure I'll be corrected.Not meaning to disrespect either artist. Cool to listen to another version of the song.
