however I have to point out that three of the memories you collect (the Liddel Family memories to be precise) contradict each other. One has Alice's parents screaming at her to save herself. Another has them screaming for her to stay and die with them, while a third has the parents trying to get Lizzie to unlock her bedroom door. 1, that couldnt have happened because they were also locked in their room. 2, how did Alice get to her parents if she followed dinah and escaped out the window?

ieevv This game was SUPPOSED to clear up a lot of unanswered questions about how Alice came to be mad in the first place and how her family died. Alice's father was a professor at a college and Bumby was a doctor in training. He developed a rather scary obsession with Lizzie and stalked her. In the end he got into the liddel house, raped and killed Lizzie, locked her door, then set the fire to cover up what he did. Alice saw him, but did nothing because of her fear.

@kkundlas786 They did. Bumby apparently brainwashed orphans to be turned out as child prostitutes. He raped and murdered Lizzy Liddell and burned the house down. He then tried to brainwash Alice into forgetting her family so she too could be turned into a prostitute. The infernal train represents his influence.

After all of this I was greatly disappointed in his death scene. I really wanted to make him suffer.

Dr. Bumby raped Alice's elder sister Lizzie and set the Liddel Manor in fire so that there would be no witnesses, however Alice saw him (briefly) and, as soon as Alice left Rutledge Asylum, he took her to use hypnosis so that she would forget about him. In fact, he is using this same method in an enormous number of children to turn them into mindless prostitutes (hence the "dolls") to use them as sexual tools. He is a sick bastard. I know.

@redrasegarden No, both are separate beings. The Doll Maker is what Alice visions Dr. Bumby to be: A sadistic, horrible creature that takes innocent children and turn them into mindless dolls. As soon as Alice defeats The Doll Maker, she surpasses her fears about Dr. Bumby and reunites enough courage to succesfully murder him in real-life, thus restoring her sanity and saving countless orphans of London.

@3582xionlover Honestly?...yes. The game does have these God of War-like battles where you have to defeat certain enemies to proceed so those are kind of like bosses....but this is the only true "Boss" boss in the game.

And there were several opportunities for boss fights in this game...

The March Hare and Dormouse in their mech... The Walrus and the Carpenter... The Queen of Hearts... The Dollmaker in his first form...

And the game passes them all up...
