  • thank you bro.

  • feefteen hahahhahaha

  • I only knew second method, glad to see another way of simplifying this problem. Thanks as always for your help and time.

  • for some reason i learn better from northstar, than my teacher Thanks!

  • Should you ALWAYS look first if fractions could be reduced..?

  • @Mrchikenkatsu this is a great question. If you are dealing with proper or improper fractions, you can cross-cancel first to avoid possibly reducing at the end. Do you know what cross-canceling is??? I forget if I demonstrate it in any of my vids.

  • @northstar15 Yes,I have watched some of your videos on cross cancelling...I notice how you approach solving the problem differs when you switch it to horizontal....It is quite interesting....Personally,I prefer the horizontal style...!!!

  • @northstar15 right. every other math teacher will do it differently. there are other methods also, like multiplying both sides by a value of one, which to me is a weird method. My rule is, however you get the answer the easiest way for you is the right way. In school, it's all about pleasing the teacher du jour. When you are on your own, you can do it your way. BTW I forgot--are you a student in school or an adult?????

  • Thanks again
