  • Don't know why he stopped using that set-up,it sounds so fantastic

  • Satriani nevr ceases to amaze me!

  • oh my God i think even he lost sense of what he was doing and ascended to an upper level of beast. he looked like he was about to start speaking tongues up there. i gotta play lik that

  • Brilliant highly under rated performance one of his best compositions

  • 6:43-6:50 Play no more, I'm all done. Absolutely blew my circuit boards. A robot I am no longer!

  • Awesome

  • man i love satchmo, but he shaves his head, but man his fuckin arms are hairy. Hell i'm half-jew and italian so I got hair like him, and fuck i'm balding too at 24, when i shave my head i'm gunna make sure my upper arms are fuckin tame as well. Thanks Joe. I learn something from you everyday.

  • theorise this dinosaur!

  • What is wrong with the audience, are they all in coma, or stunned into silence and imoveability by some awesome guiter playing?

  • @bengybogs Pretty much. Last time I saw Satch live my Jaw was on the ground pretty much the entire set

  • I feel sorry for deaf people. They'll never be able to appreciate the awesomeness that is Joe Satriani... those poor 12 bastards...

  • There is 12 people that dont have ears.

  • just a bunch of notes, nothing really connecting.

  • @wk3000 plz....not connecting!? i feel sorry for u. but the missing/lacking connections is totally in u. hopefully it will come with time and u learn to listen in various ways. but the day u get there u get some bliss and start to realy know music. o happy day.

this song is so great and breathtakingly well performed.

  • 3.28: One of the most BEAUTIFUL notes EVER played

  • 12 robot's is here

  • QUESTION FOR MUSICIANS.

I know that you can place your finger on a fret, and depending on the fret you push, you can get good feedback. BUT what if your playing in a loud venue, and you want to hit a long note, but you accidently hit a note that makes feedback. how do you hold a note down (example: 3rd fret on the A string) without getting feed back?????

  • @zomgitzakitteh i don't know if this is how more advanced guitarists do it, but i sometimes hold or mute the other strings, that way their vibrations isnt picked up by the pickups. try it and tell me if it works for you!

  • love this song, just when the guy does his little bass slap in those parts, it sounds crap!

  • @gshdrums Aw man...the little bass slap fills are great, they give a great groove to the song :(.

  • @PhilosopherOnWeed

Yeah...as amazing as Satriani is (as per usual) it's the BASS that always made this song stand out to me.

  • @gshdrums they sound bad, there not even clean with tone...

  • Yeaaahhh!!!! Satch! This guy is incredible! He knows guitar better than anyone else. His music id awesome. Full of emotions and always makes me happy. Jimi Hendrix is average player next to Satriani. My favourite alien!

  • listen,again,again,again,again,again,again.......this i not normal.this gay ist alien.great alien

  • My drum teacher took lessons from Campitelli (Satriani's drummer). Said that guy is super tight with his drumming and is always counting.

  • @RockDrummin88 Oh yeah, he is great.... I am too newbie to play even one of his rhythms but his playing is awesome!

  • lets see Harry Potter do that with a piece of wood.

  • Holy Shit!^^

PS: Let us notice the bassist too, he looks so inconvenient but when it comes to bass playing he kills the shit!^^

  • 2 words to describe this song..Fuckin A!

  • Joe, you are the best guitar alien in the universe......

  • Had to watch it twice,as i was enthrulled, absolutely amazing ,puts all his concepts ainto this piace and rips through the guitar like its not even there!Awesome performance!

  • Yeahhhh Ok!!!!

  • dave murray is better than joe

    but joe is awesome !

  • jizzed in my pants!!!

  • Farken Apocalyptic playing!

Satch's lethal dose of Legato filled fury with drippings of deadly harmonic shrills....fark! Hats off to the thunderous 'slap n pop' bassline! Not since Hendrix have I had to pick my Jaw off the ground! Like Shogun said " Who's da MASTER?"

  • It's thinking! Shut it off Scotty!

  • peace and blessings to u joe!!

  • peace and blessings to u joe!!

  • 13 people are robots who had nightmares.

  • @smpratte One of those robots was terminated, because now it's 12.

  • Not to many can do it BETTER live, like Joe does with every song.

  • @dwhite1up The sign of true skill right there.

  • @99Eternal A Robots dream: to one day play the guitar like this guy.........Come on A.I., we're waiting.

  • colossal !!

  • Must be great going to bed at night knowing you've created some of the best music ever conceived by man but from interviews and things he seems pretty humble aswell and for that i respect him even more, not only a virtuoso but down to earth with it too a true gent and legend!

  • 12 people are robots !!:D

  • can anyone explain to me how he does that needle scratching sound?! o.O

  • @lovethreesixteen he holds down some frets then scratches his pick along the strings fast

  • @lovethreesixteen He scratches the string with is pick. Thats all. DO you mean that?

  • the 12 people who disliked this vid have no music sense

  • he are the robot 4 real

  • Joe's live performance is so much better than the studio recordings. I like both but man the live performances are just spectacular!

  • @Stevenbalee yeah I find this especially true for his more recent offerings.

  • is that a laguna hes rockin out on?

  • @mars7a joe plays ibanez geetars

  • Wormhole wizards is the new break through in guitar music my friends.Satriani is placing himself on the new level of music ,he has found gold and he's going to take all that he can.If it's fixed songs with a bridge chorus and so forth then this album is not for your ears.He has reached a level of playing where spontaneity and feeling have no rules and fixed form ,it's all about what comes naturally .My opinion, one of the best.He did this before with Engines and he's doing it again pure genius

  • I totally disagree with dan1lobr, i think wormhole wizards is a great song from one of satch's best album's period.Every new album he does sounds different from the last, change is good and wormhole wizards is a fine example of that.

  • @zeliig

well, then i have to disagree to that. for me, wormhole wizards was maybe even worse than satchafunkilus... although better than engines of creation :DD

ofcourse some songs were good, like golden room, littleworth lane, solitude... but the whole album was kinda mediocre...

  • You know.. acording to @mlunacantu, Satriani does have a lot of feel, but I kinda miss that in his new album Black Swans & Wormhole Wizards. W.W. itself, as a song, is pretty lame in my opinion...

I think he should have tried to create a album with every song being a great masterpiece of his state of mind, not just fillers as some of those seemed to be...

This song right here, for example, I consider one of his masterpieces, the beat the rhythm the bass and the solo just blow everything away!

  • "crystal AWESOME planet"!!!!

  • practise

  • I think Joe kinda looks like a robot when he starts a hammer run and bobs his head onto an angle like that.

  • PLANET AWESOME!

  • this song is my imagination tool, escort to create an artistic creatifity.

  • At 4:12. Did you hear the robots talking from Satchs guitar :)

  • is there a cd of this dvd

  • That bassist needs some credit, his slappin was awesome

  • @JackIntheBK yeah this song wouldnt be as funky without that sick bass

  • @JackIntheBK absolutely, I'd love to tap and slap like that one day... :)

  • Wow! More wammy action! Joe seems to squeeze a little wammy into almost every song he does, or at least something else that seems like it hasn't been done before.

  • i didn't know joe plays piano too

  • @Nightwithe Joe plays like fuckin 10 instruments hahaha, i just wanna learn guitar!

  • yeah this face at 5:57 ;) awesome performance

  • Dave LaRue really made this piece awesome.

  • @GetOffOfAIM he the bassist? sorry, I dunno that guy.. I guess that counts for a shame :P

  • @Ghraladean yeah I didn't know him until watching more recent Satriani videos... no worries. People that tour with Satch end up getting deserved attention. Dave LaRue is actually the current bassist for the Dixie Dregs; he's been with them for a while. Good stuff, the DD aren't your everyday music. Dave also has awesome solo work.

  • Satch is where it's at!

  • How does he do that ????? 1:58

  • виртуозно!

  • I dont know who is the best and I dont know if that is the most important thing. I am just happy that someone in the US is still playing real music. Don't know what I would do without YT. The radio in Detroit is nothing but BS! Not including NPR.

  • this song kinda started boring me until about 5:00 . Which is odd since I never find Satch's songs boring.

  • 3:10 - 3:47 is one of the most beautiful melodic pieces ever composed.

  • in my own opinion, the greatest there is.

  • my Dad died near the time Joe's did, around the recording of FIABDream cd, and when i was intro'd to JS. playing guitar basically all my life, i've found no one equal to JS in soulful feel. my enthusiasm has impressed JS onto my family even my musician Mother. a web developer, i listen to youtube Robot's Dream, or Made of Tears for days on end. those who cannot relate to his aural enchantment in his music i pity:P.

  • why is there a dislike button ? 12 people missed the like button , they should kill theirselves =))

  • man the bass is so sick on this song!!!

  • very suitable be the theme song of "I, Robot" the movie, ha ha ha!!!

  • Fuk! I say Yes! Awesome

  • Incredible !!

  • didn't lose a beat.... same as what's on CD

  • yeah joe tries to make the whole song kick ass and not just make it all about the guitar, he wants to take you on a journey and do like hank williams "can ya make folks feel what ya feel inside"

  • can anyone even get better?

  • Satriani doesn't hide behind lyrics, he has truly mastered the guitar...you can HEAR it in his instrumentals

  • 1:24 hahha I thought there was a DJ behind him somewhere :D

  • 2:07 to 2:11 satch is satching it up like a motha F#$%!@

  • Yeah !!! Satriani tu es le meilleur.....Tony depuis le Sénégal

  • I love that thing he does @ 6:31. It's awesome.

  • actually i think hes from saturn

  • The robot in question must have had the most epic dream of its life. Epic song.

  • Talking bout living Robots, Have u not seen Mr. Buckethead preform live yet? Wickedly strange indeed, (ROBOTIC METAL). Harmony has made its way back into my life. Someone needs to introduce JOE SATRIANI and MR. BUCKETHEAD allready. If they made an album together, it would blow all our faces right off our heads. Get Les Claypool involved to. Id be speechless. Make this happen someone!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE

  • this one made my day

  • Thats one exiting dream!!

  • again~!

this man has got excellent note choice, as well as my respect.

  • armyman599 I agree....when this album came out...this was instantly my favorite song. Joe has the ability to take you to a place that he is trying to create in his song and that is what the melody and solo's did in this song for me....kick ass!!

  • I love 00:00 to 7:56

  • can you say cosmic?

  • the drums are freaking insane here!

  • @Dan1loBr everything is insane in this piece - I think there are no such words to describe how awesome it is. Drums are sick, bass part is just unbelievable, especially in slap parts, and guitar - I think you all have the same opinion ;]

  • @Dan1loBr everything is insane in this piece - drums, bass - especially in slap parts, and guitar - I think there are no words needed ;]

  • Once again Satriani is kickin` ass!!

This has become my fav song of Satriani, togeter with Redshift Riders and Satch Buggie.

  • I have this concert on cd, and during this song the fuck cd skips! someone please tell me how to fix this.

  • @TheSillystranger man, i don't know how, but fix that shit! this is one of the best songs of the concert. one solution (maybe works): copy your CD, or buy it again :D it worths every single pennys

  • I think what truelly seperates "Joe Satriani

From other Solo Artist is his "Feel" in each & every Songs he Plays & Writes. "JOE", is not from this Planet, He's From "Planet AWESOME" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i agree with u i could not have said it better

  • He is from Crystal planet :)

  • @mlunacantu I agree but there's one other exeption buckethead has al ot of songs with feeling

  • @mlunacantu Yea, all of Joe's songs sound unique in some way, and yet there is still an underlying "Satch" style to his music.

  • @mlunacantu from crystal planet...xD..lol

  • Semangat ini rock buat djadi gila musti dengar keras sekali

  • joe is truly amazing and i am so blessed to get hear gutiar played like that in my life time

  • Satriani rules! :D

  • maybe its strange but man I like it a lot! i find it different, in satriani's style of course!

  • ke inferno..

  • what can you say

  • @tubetubby500 i just fuckin bounced around my house blasting this on the stereo system.

    best song on the DVD.

    Sooo much emotions.

Joe Satriani is the FUCKING MAN!!

as far as solo guitar goes, this is one of my favorite performances of all time.

    makes me CRAZZY!

....... that's all i gotta say.. about that.... -Forest Gump- Lol

  • sweet! I guess there is something that can be said

  • 3:12 feel so goooooooooooood!!!!

  • @elwin218 My favorite part.

  • A true artiist with humor & perspective! (I came across this with the Ultima GTR video build, very cool.)

  • OMFG how i love 5:52-5:56!

  • 3:32 - it's simple but sounds so cool! :D

  • i love you Mr Satriani

  • what i really like in his solos is that even when he is getting into it like crazy it is still about the music and not to show off with his technics

  • this man is talented

  • Comment removed

  • that bassist sounds impressive, so neat in his technique

  • This song is so bad ass, I got turned on to it watching a build video of a Ultima GTR , the song fits it well

  • sax

  • famous quote

"i wanna talk about robots a second"...pure candy!

  • i loved the bass slapping in this... well done Dave :)

  • Bender's Song:

Bender: "I came to Earth with a simple dream: To kill all humans.

"Oh, so just 'cause a robot wants to kill all humans, that makes him a 'radical!' "

    — Bender, Futurama

  • Che delirio...king of Ibanez

  • woah goosebumps for at least 3 minutes now!

incredible how much this man lives his music!

  • I prefer Joe, but they are both mind blowing.

  • joe satriani the best.

  • John Petrucci the best :D

  • why? he is one of the greatest :P but why do u say hes the best?

  • i do not pronounce myself in hard metal shredding, Alexi and Malmsteen are great, but as much for the Feeling bluesy solos Eric clapton zakk wylde etc. i respect every ones opinion and i agree That he is a great guitarist and a great shredder

  • nice :)

  • Is it just me, or does it sound like a Satch version of an old cop show soundtrack?

  • Before i started listening to Joe Satriani, i didn't know what music was.

Joe is in my top three guitarists tied for first place. His life is to transmit to others his wonderful ideas and feelings through music. He is just amazing, and i respect him a hell of a lot

  • This is why I love him.

He can express so much emotions trough melody.

  • My son who is 15 says "that's stupid there's no words" Who needs lyrics.....who wants lyrics.......the music speaks on a higher level anyway! KID'S!!!!!!!! Hopefully he'll get it eventually.

  • I'm willing to bet that the lyrics of most of the music he listens to are completely meaningless anyway! If you can convey all the emotions without using words, then why write lyrics? Lyrics often just get in the way of the message...

Ok, I'll admit: I'm 16, but I have no comprehension of most popular music!

  • Consider yourself Blessed! If your not like everybody else your doing something right!

  • Thanks!

I think there should be more people who listen to music they like, not just because it's fashionable! I wonder how many records Coldplay would have sold if it wasn't for all the people who bought it because they felt they ought to.

I think that should apply to life, too, but maybe that's a bit too idealistic?

  • @CMalburn

talking of coldplay. check Satrianis song "if I could fly"

    if u havent allready.

  • Oh, yes. I have! Great song. Shame it now reminds me of Viva la Vida...

  • true! Im 16 and im loving this =]

  • hes 15 and he said that?xD i said that when i was like 6 or something

  • Joe's the guy,all of his music and shred, technique are awesome.

  • nice hehe

  • my gawd the bassist is so awesome xD

  • damn right!!!!!

he's kinda out of fashion.... but i know loads of people like that and they are always great!!!!!

  • This is song is pure brillance. Stach is pure brillance and everything he dose is pure brilliance. He is a class act all the way. Nuff said.

  • dudeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • 5/5

  • Joe satriani is not just a guitarist he is a genious musician, his musical ideas and expression is light years ahead!!! May be he is alien!!!
