You can't prove god exists. He's only given life in our minds because we can't disprove it. That goes for every damn thing in this universe. One thing we DO know for a fact is science. The reason science is so specific and anal about what it considered science is that if it wasn't, it'd become another religion; wild with no barriers stopping anything. Best thing to get out of religion is how to live an honest, good life.

I'm not really into Supernatural. But I have to say, this scene was great to watch. I love the banter between Gabriel and Lucifer. And like StormLifehouse said, it's rather endearing that Lucifer cried when he killed Gabriel.

I find all religious theology interesting and think that Supernatural does a great job at portraying how the Christian religion is still the same but with some things that no one would have thought about as it is normally taken literally. I wonder about the new baby reference though. He cannot be talking about Jesus, so what other Angel would he be describing?

@tinamoul needed to get the rings of 4 horsemen. Now wow King of hell he can raise the dead and snatch individuals out of the cage while keeping their souls in check. I love the fact that Supernatural more than anything usually comes down to family. I love all of the brother banter between Lucifer, Gabriel, and Michael.

I find it extremely compelling how sad Lucifer gets when he asks Gabriel to not "make me do this" And how he nearly cries when the deed is done. You will not get that kind of depth with any other TV program these days.
It bothers me that some of the gods went down so easily. I mean the pagan ones that no one worships anymore, fine, but some of those are from religions that still exist. That's just a little offensive. Nice to see Gabriel finally acting like an angel though. He was such a prick in the earlier seasons. It's good of him to remind us that he actually is an archangel.

@SonofAeons Lucifer's in his cage with Michael so even if Gabriel gets brought back (or if he faked his death yet again) he would need to get the rings from the horsemen, open the box and then kill Lucifer. If he does return he probably wouldn't want to go through all the effort.

It bothers me that some of the gods went down so easily. I mean the pagan ones that no one worships anymore, fine, but some of those are from religions that still exist. That's just a little offensive. Nice to see Gabriel finally acting like an angel though. He was such a prick in the earlier seasons. It's good of him to remind us that he actually is an archangel.

Mark pelligrino did amazing with the emotions of playing lucifer. He got the anger, sarcastic stuff down perfectly. But the thing that really got me was when he got sad. After he kills gabriel and he's breathing like he's about to cry his face off...yeah

I mean in the Bible I believe it says that even Michael himself fears Lucifer(and Michael is a veeeeeery powerful archangel, the most powerful that is, after Lucifer of course)so he asks for God's aid in battling the Fallen One. So if Michael fears Lucifer, imagine what Gabriel is to Lucifer o_O. I mean all angels and archangels, and other kinds of angels in Heaven such as Cherubim, were nothing compared to Lucifer for God made him perfect in beauty and power.

I mean after he realised that he was the most powerful archangel in the cosmos, he thought himself higher, more powerful and even better than God Himself. All feared him and were amazed by his perfection and beauty. When Lucifer didn't want to bow down to us(I think it was like that how it went) through the will of God...

Christianity has only ever provided unclarified evidence, and a book which claims to have been written on behalf of an omniscient, omnipotent deity. Since this book has never been proven to be correct, you cannot base your arguments on what is mentioned in it. You don't seem to understand the meaning of Christianity: to believe in it is to have "faith", not to give false claims on it.

If bad/evil never existed, then there would be no such thing as personal progress because everything is already perfect. As the 2nd law of thermodynamics shows, energy has to be TRANSFERRED, fit that with the theory of relativity then it shows that it is more absurd to say that a mastermind does not exist because everything in the universe operates all together to keep the earth a living planet.

Things of know natural composition, form.. the main reason why it's hard to imagine God is because we imagine an all-powerful old guy in the sky. Which isn't that.. the whole "Son of God" term from Jesus means that he was God manifested. therefore God is actually immaterial.

Because that should not prevent one from having faith(I know some people disregard faith as something useful but don't you think it's better to believe in a life after this than to believe that death is the final end?
