@HannahMacMaster yes the story line is the same.. but not everything,,, there are some different twists in it... it's really worth watching it... I watched the being human U.K first and I have 2 say that the U.S version is really good and there are some great surprises in it that you just dont expect... and sorry for my shitty english.... hope this helps you ;)
Saw the UK version... it was corny, awkward, and it insisted upon itself. The US version is superior in every way. Character development, attention to detail, and [for fuck's sake] TALENT is what sets the two apart.

I love this Being Human show more. I've seen a couple of the british ones, and they were good, but honestly I kinda got bored, and thought there was some over acting in it. The american one has a more well balanced theme. Every actor on this show is perfect.
I watched the BBC original from the beginning, but I'm really warming to the U.S. Scifi version now. The first few episodes were pretty much the same, but now the scripts/episodes are developing their own little arcs that don't JUST copy the BBC Original. The cast dynamic is really coming together and now I enjoy the American version just as much as the British. I don't compare the 2 at all now. They both seem like different shows. 2 thumbs up guys.

eh, they don't have jokes they have Sarcasm...There's a difference. "Inch high private eye" -That's a joke. There not much comedy in this show it's just riddle with like obvious Ironic sarcasm. Laughter makes the heart grow fonder. The UK version just has the family-like chemistry that makes the show intriguing and relatable. These guys are like the "It" crowd, struggling to stay cool. IDK.
That said, I accept it for what it is. I watch it anyway.

@enigma19833 as an american, we'll agree to disagree my British friend. I love 'em both, but it's still Jordan vs Lebron. There's no denying LeBron's mad skillz but he's no Jordan. Same with Being Human. BBCs Being Human is to SyFy's version as Jordan is to Lebron IMO.

Anyway, I haven't watched a lot of the US Being Human, but I've liked what I've seen. I do love the UK version and the UK actors, but obviously I've been watching them a lot longer and certain characters grew on me over time. I'll probably watch them both and see how the US version develops.

At this point I desperatley don't want it to get canceled cause the BBC version stopped existing for me the second that Mitchell died and because of that I won't be watching it anymore.
i was so worried that this show was going to be another cheesy show with horrible script and acting. i fell in love from the first episode. great acting, great script, great plot, great characters. the actors seem to work very well with each other and makes me wanna hang out with them.

I was unsure about this show in the beginning but decided to give it a show and ended up loving it. Then I wanted to check out the original UK version then loved that one too! =)

But seeing as this series isn't avaliable in the UK, the snippets that I have seen so far haven't in my opinion, been up to the standards of the original. @darkninja18 Me too! Usually when there are remade shows, they tend to be terrible. There are a few exceptions and this is definately one of them. I was unsure about this show in the beginning but decided to give it a show and ended up loving it. Then I wanted to check out the original UK version then loved that one too! =)

@SilencioPuto I think that when it comes to the content the american version has been exactly like the uk version and i hate that about the show but I heard the actress that plays the ghost in an interview say that things will change in the middle of the season so who knows what would happen. In my opinion if they keep the same storyline as in that of the uk version the show will suck because it would be like watchin the uk version all over again.

Sam Huntington is married?! Dang it!!!!!!!!!!! He so hot! And i would date a werewolf any day of the week! I liked the last series but goodbye 2010 and hello 2011 series! Oh i would also date a vampire that looks like the hot Sam Witwer! But Huntington rocks the victum of the animal thing. I dont know why animal thing drives me crazy for him. But seeing as this series isn't avaliable in the UK, the snippets that I have seen so far haven't in my opinion, been up to the standards of the original. It might sitll be good, except there won't be any tea in this version, i'm assuming? That's kinda sad!

@StrangeBean Well they mention it in almost every other single interview they give so as a fan of the original I'm ok with them taking a break from talking about it so much cause I feel like everytime they do it's their way of trying not to get on fans bad side, which they shouldn't have to do cause the show is actually quite good inspite of some haters out there.

the vampire in thie american version looks a little to clean cut if you ask me, doesnt look like a killer at all unlike mitchell, the cast and overall standard of the UK version is much, much better, just my opinion

@Archimedes1066 hello fucker, ive watched the english version before i watched the american version, and i think the american version is better, and 2nd of all they didn't rip it off they talked with the creater of being human about an american series. an 3rd of all americans don't destroy everything, The english make ugly ass buildings, the english have horrible looking country sides and land scape, the english overhunted animals to extinction in england, and in 1776 lost a war to civilians
