her accent makes the song sound odd. she does have talent and a remarkable voice, perhaps if she learns to fake accents it would have sounded better. She's also not using much emotion. This song is very very emotional and shouldn't be sung like an emotionless choral piece. with other songs it may sound well, but not with this i'm afraid. im sorry to say, this is pretty creepy. her expressions are contrived and her voice doesn't seem to fit her body. she's talented, but ill-suited for this song. she has almost no childish innocence that i can see.
This may sound mean but she shows no emotion in this song, and i am a ballerina and have been doing ballet since i was 4 and she was not good at ballet(but i have been doing it fo 10 years so im sorta biased)
well im 14 and professionaly trained singer (im still learning) and is bad she dosnt show emotion but if she acted like a kid the music industry wouldnt take her seriously as a singer. being muture dose not mean you shouldnt show emotion though. i kinda understand why she acted like this in the video. she wanted to look professional. i might be wrong the only person that could expain the video perfectly is becky her self.
i think she is trying to be mature when all she needs is a fun video where she can act like a girl....not an adult, a video in which she has her hair down and curled and wearing a nice dress and just having fun like a kid!

@limalicious I don't mean to sound rude or anything but could you do this at such young age? I'll admit there are a few flat notes but she was a child at the time... and she has achieved a momentous thng with her voice. its a haunting song and the accent gives it even more of an alluring sound

The song was originally done with an American accent, and I think it sounds better. LIkewise, there are British songs that sound better with that accent.

You think the American accent is better for this sonfg because you first heard it that way, not because it is better. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, where I am from, is made up of 4 different countries: England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. I am from Scotland; I am therefore both British and Scottish, not English. Perhaps in America this little titbit of information is ignored. That is not my problem. Goodbye. I have to agree with lexidemon, it does remind me of Mary Poppins but voices are sometimes very simiular though they are different and unique in their own way. Very gorgeous.

well im 14 and professionaly trained singer (im still learning) and is bad she dosnt show emotion but if she acted like a kid the music industry wouldnt take her seriously as a singer. being muture dose not mean you shouldnt show emotion though. i kinda understand why she acted like this in the video. she wanted to look professional. i might be wrong the only person that could expain the video perfectly is becky her self.
