Yes it does. When it was "fresh" I could smell it vividly from 10 feet away. It smells like something that flies would be attracted to. In fact, that's how it reproduces --- flies land on it, get covered in its spores, and then the spores are distributed to other places as the flies fly around.

ughh...i feel bad for my dad...he saw a bunch of them in the corner of his garden this morning and flies were on the stuff....
