You're supposed to use gloves for both hands -___-

and you're definitely not supposed to wash your hair right after you dye it. You're supposed to rince your hair with cold water until the water runs clear. (Don't use hot water because it'll make your hair fade faster) I'm in my second year of cosmetology and i've been dying/cutting my own hair since the 7th grade. That was 4 years ago, so i'd thought i'd give you some advice. Since i know what i'm talking about. c:

@xK0RKST3Rx nope. To be honest, usually when i dye my hair i don't even use a brush sometimes i don't even use gloves :3 but if you bleach your hair make sure to use gloves ;)

cool :) i did my hair the same way as you when i was 14/15 you might find it might not last as long as you want it to :(

a good way to make it last is by dyeing the part of your hair blond the putting the red dye on the part you just did live it in for 50 mins and wash it out it will last for weeks. and after about 9 washes it will go pink ^^ :)

(eventually cost to much money so i just cut all the red out..)

@NikiNeverland Thats with permanent hair color not temp, which is what she used. And having "dirty" hair doesn't make the color "stay in better" the natural oils in your hair help to protect your hair from the harsh chemicals in the permanent color. Just saying

@xx3CatiiBoo No, you're supposed to rinse it out and use conditioner. Not shampoo. The only time you use shampoo is if its a proffesional hair dye.

The way I do it is while rinsing I use shampoo so it gets all the way out and then after rinsing the shampoo you use the conditioner. There's no right/wrong way to rinse your hair. People just have their own ways.

you don't wash your hair right after you dye it. i usually don't wash mine till like 3 days after i dyed it. shampoo makes it fade. it'd stay way better if you didnt wash it much. let alone right after you dyed it and rinsed it out o_O you just rinse it out really good and leave it.

@PsychosocialSam actually i wash mine after i dye it but you are only supposed to leave the shampoo on your hair for a couple seconds and then wash it out so it doesent really take affect. it just cleans all the extra dye off your hair
