I totally agree with @ryanrenesis lots of players grunt when hitting the ball as you exhale on contact, noise just happens! admittedly some players take it too far *cough cough Wozniaki* but generally most players do it - especially when you're getting tired. Listen to Nadal when he's in a 5th set of a match, he just gets louder and louder!
