unless you want to take a risk and use e-bay i suggest you go on a timely search in every Half-price books, movie exchange/re-sale, or goodwill store in your erea.

unlike the star wars films, the original THX1138 (not the student film) and the re-release are _barely_ different at all. theres a few extra touches but nothing was changed drastically or signifcantly added that takes away from the film. if anything it's better. all the low-fi hi-tech FX stuff is there still.. like a pipe-cleaner administering sedatives. the only things added are a couple car cut scenes and some stuff in the garage and robot on a table which is actually decent stuff.
