@brown016 So that, this is one of the ways to attack by Momentum-collision. But, it depends on the whole body whether to be ' ONE' or United or not.
At the beginning to release energy is in the situation about firing a bullet or shooting an arrow with a bow. This will make our body partially very fast such as punching and kicking.
Most of the MArt todays is teaching this energy mainly.

Dear wckoek, Yiquan Boxing is originated from Xingyiquan, but master Wang Xiangzai also drew the cream from many others schools of Chinese martial art,Such as Shaolin,Shadow Boxing (Taiji Boxing) and others. To compare with other traditional Chinese martial art, Yiquan Boxing has no fixed theories of skills and moves.
I study Yiquan. Yes, Zhan Zhuang is the cornerstone of Yiquan training, but there are other exercises to test the force and so on. Yiquan can enhance your performance in other martial arts. Look for J.P. Lau's Yiquan Beginner Guide on the web.

@wckoek Hi wckoek
Xing in chinese means External shape, movements, sequences of actions, style or what we can see through our eyes.
Yi means Internal, spirit, body nervous system....etc
Giant Wang Xiang Zai jumped fm Xing Yi into Yi by abolishing all the external things that we can see and concentrating on internal training only !!
So, Yi Quan has No Movements !!!
