  • She plays beautifully.

  • Absolutely Amazing, totally enchanting and note worthy, moved to tears .

  • In one shot she has heavy boots on the sand bar, then there's a jump cut and in the next shot she's barefoot. Where did those boots go? Did she throw 'em in the water? Hope they weren't expensive!

  • 53 people are rednecks.

  • There'll never be a time for me dislike this romantic piece especially played emotionally by this artist Xuefei Yang.

  • ... incantevole!!!

  • She is good..... this is such a beautiful music played by a beautiful lady.... wonderful

  • Lindo de mais!!!

    So Beautiful!!!

  • cool : )

  • Very corny music video, but AMAZING song and AMAZING guitar player. Don´t judge a book by it´s cover guys! :]

  • one of the most amazing song ive heard

listenening to all these pieces like this and claire de lune simulates your mind

if we alll listend to a classical piece of music onece the world would be a better place.

  • this song changed something in my life, i realy miss listen to music, simple and beautiful.

This song was composed by Antonio Rovira, a excellent spanish guitar player, and is not an mistery.

  • @hadesjp How? Did he go back in time? Or is there another Antonio Rovira?

  • Excelente.

  • Since jdubyatalk referenced her nails, I feel the need to point out that in his over-critical statement he did not mention that her left finger nails are cut quite close. So now I have to ask - what is wrong with using fingernails instead of say a guitar pick (as it appears she is doing)? Just so you all know, I am not a guitarist. thank you

  • @MusicLover1920 the nail length doesn't matter as long as one can play the notes clearly. Previously when I was playing the classical guitar in my school's ensemble, it's always thought that playing with fingernails is better than a guitar pick because you don't need excess to play great music--minus the fuss

  • @TetraLonelySouls Thank you!!

  • @MusicLover1920 I know classical guitarists who purposely grow out their nails so they can play using their nails instead of picks. I'm not sure if it really makes a difference in sound - that seems to me more a matter of technique and it's possible that playing with your own fingernails gives you more, rather than less, control.

  • @bloodredrosez i can see your point about having more control when using one's own fingernails, but wouldn't it strain the nailbeds? :) anyhow, as far as sound, i would think the shape of the nail would have an impact - oh, do you if guitarists find the sound quality shifting with picks made out of different materials (like plastic vs. wood (do they even use wooden picks?))

Thank you - I don't play the guitar, but this is really interesting.

  • From Brazil: Romance de Amor in SAMBA ritm .. Kisses !

  • Much too slow and overly sentimentalized, thus the phrasing of the melody disintegrates. Too long nails and incorrect contact point with the string, thus clacky tone quality. No difference between this and most amateur performances. Based on this it would seem that contracts with big record companies depend more on cronyism and a pretty face than it does on being a deeper artist than most other music professionals.

  • @jdubyatalk ACTUALLY, THIS PIECE IS ONE OF THE BEST RENDITIONS OF A CLASSICAL GUITAR PIECE I'VE EVER HEARD, IF YOU CAN DO BETTER, YOU'D BETTER BRING IT!

  • @jdubyatalk Your thinking too much. I'm curious how you can act like a know-them-all of musics. you don't even know how to close your eyes and open your ears. You just close every things and speak unconsciously.

  • @jdubyatalk why dont you demonstrate to us on youtube how its suppose to be done.....

  • I have a hand written copy of this song arranged by Vicente Gomez, and i have talked with several of his students who believe he may have written it in his childhood. Of course, there is no to prove this =)

  • Maravilloso!!!

  • Fabulous!!!!!

  • This is great guitar. Thank you.

  • i am braziliam my name is Fatima,

    You play very beatiful congratulations!

In Brasil Dilermando Reis playng in 1965 He is died

  • Very Good! Molto Bene!

  • The song isnt hard to learn but playing it well is hard.

  • The very first song i have ever learn to play about 20 years ago, and if a think better this song was the reason that made me to learn playing guitar...and all i can say is that tis song must be playet first with the strings of your heart and when you'll be able to do that you wi'll be able to play it with any instrument...In tis interpretation she used both, te heart and the guitar and it comed out divine...

  • 45 frustraded guitar players didn't like this video!!!!

  • I Almost can play this song :D

  • Thanks for responding. Look forward to more performances by Xue-fei Yang. She is an amazing guitarist. A real inspiration for all us beginners.

  • Fantastic playing -- skill, talent, feelings, emotions, intelligence, strength, grace all rolled into this stellar performance. Three cheers! Please post name of guitar maker. The instrument is also flawless. Thank so much.

  • @Brigando100

Her guitar is made by Greg Smallman.

  • VERY GOOD, BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!

  • WOWWWWW REALMENTE ME RELAJA UN MONTON

  • woauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • The guitar plays all of my favorite music, from this beautiful song to death metal..

  • The best interpretation of this piece I've ever heard. She really knows what is this song all about. And I have to say to all the amateurs that this is the best way to play this score. The tempo is perfect because you can make the expresions more large and it is the best way to feel the "romance". Learn from this woman, I mean it.

  • @HongwareeChannel __ Best performers would care not much of precision in tone, notes, rhythm, and dynamics, or if their performance call sell __ somehow rather a blend of all combined to give us a abstract sense in music. All time high, she did it wonderfully. I am honored to listen to her playing.

  • Serene!

  • A HARMONY OF MUSIC, PERFORMING ARTS AND WHAT IS A HUMAN BEING. AND A BEAUTY OF A WOMAN!!! O!!!

  • I still can't believe how simple this song is and still how it can bring so much to a performance.

  • it's so emotional..im about to cry.. :')

  • i don’t know when i close my eyes while listing to her music, and when i opened my eyes i am in love with her.

  • its really amazing all the different sounds the guitar can make

  • Hong Kong Pop Singer Eason Chan,

    have an adapation of it~

    v=jaEYGK0nzzo

  • If the composer is not Tarrega I would be very surprised

  • beautiful piece i love the emotion. and i am wondering does anybody know where she is in the video??

  • Very Beautiful.

  • God Bless Xue Fei Yang...The world is fortunate that the brilliant John Williams discovered her and helped her step to the next level of sucess. I've seen her perform live. She is the embodiment of romatic classical guitar...

  • Beautiful...!

  • very original n beautiful...i like this one...

  • ***** DISLIKE button should be removed from this video *****

  • good music, poor video background the piece much more suited to a backdrop of strong classical theme because of the rather strong and poignant sentiment it coveys. it may be a slow running cascade of painting or architecture, or a simple video of a walk through a historical town. scenes of nature just don't seem to carry that well at all... wonder why no one pointed that out

  • @jasonscorsese In the minor key, I agree with you, but maybe it wouldn't be as sufficient when the key modulates to it's parallel major during the 2/3 segment. To a degree, I can understand what you mean

  • Beautifully played, exquisite artfull presentation. Thank you<

Sometimes I feel almost guilty for having the world's most divine treasures at my fingertips

  • Beautifully played, exquisite artfull presentation. Thank you<

  • no words to describe this song, it says everything by its wonderful melody.....

but does anybody know the story of this song...?

  • Excellent.

  • Super song

  • And here I was wondering what was the name of the song of my music box when I had the great idea of looking at the small etiquette in the back just find written on it "Romance de L'amour"

  • wow very beautifully played, and i must say the video scenery are quite fitting and gorgeous, as are you.

  • SO BEAUTIFUL

  • "...and it's like coming out from your heart"... nice:)

  • Compared to the incredible and rich diversity among people of Color, privileged straight white christian males are fungible.

  • stop arguing about race and ancestries and just enjoy the song

  • I had a dream last night that Xuefei was the "romantic guy" with the guitar on the stairs in ANIMAL HOUSE. She was playing this very piece, and John Belushi comes down the steps, and, well, you know the rest...

  • " it's like coming from your heart"

  • Amei, vc é muito talentosa. Me deu bons momentos. Parabéns!

  • i was sad

    soothing.... now i feel better

  • Thank you very much for this clip, especially the interview.

I like the part where Miss Yang explained how a teacher, unknowingly, had played such a big part in giving to the world, such a talented guitarist.

Also, how the energy of an active kid is channeled into such beauty, shared with the world.

  • Very Beautiful :)

  • This is the best interpretation I have heard so far!!!!

  • Beautiful! So relaxing.....balsam for our souls! ♥´´¯`♥•.¸¸.♫´¯`•.¸¸.♥

  • Beautiful music played by an even more beautiful woman. The video is very tranquil and portrays the mood of the music as well.

  • beaultiful words *-*

  • I'm also a classical guitarist and I must say that her play, fingerstyle and warm and pleasant sound are pretty cool! This is the best interpretation I've ever heard!

    5/5

  • Absolutely lovely

  • You're a beautiful guitar player, well done, I love this piece.

  • Absolutely amazing!!

  • She is very good there are some good ones on here. One of my favourites versions is from John Clark

  • =.=

    Why are you playing A-A-B-B-A

    It's suppose to be A-A-B-A

  • She is an absolute gem and its great to know that she was not 'hot-housed' as a kid but developed a natural (and passionate!) empathy with her instrument.

  • Best version of Romance de amor I've ever heard

  • very nice, mwaa!! -kisses bravo-

  • Beautiful rendition from a charming woman. I'll have to look up more of her music! :) I love the way she describes the "intimacy" of her instrument at the end.

Being a violinist, I had never thought about how detached my instrument actually is from me, like a kind of accessory wedged between my shoulder and jaw, whereas the classical guitarist embraces the instrument with his or her whole body. Interesting stuff!

  • Xue-fei Yang you are as beautiful as your inspiring and peaceful music.

I feel that you as well as most Chinese women that I have had the pleasure to meet are the purest element of truth, values and beauty!

  • A very artisitic presentation of a well preserved musical world heritage! May this inspires more blossom of guitarists,Congratulation!

  • this sooooooo nice....i like this....

  • this is very nice, left me without words

  • I like your performance very much. By the way, for how long have you been playing this piece?

  • Fabulous interpretation, at precisely the right tempo for this piece.

  • feels like sleeping...

  • your guitar is gorgeous, you are beautiful, and this piece is breath taking.

  • than you

  • my melancholy is biggerr now...

  • Magnificently played in a beautiful video.

  • well i love this.

  • @LaPerleDOr, I'm here to afflict the comfortable (straight white christian males) and comfort the afflicted (people of color).

MYOB? Don't you have freedom of speech in ameriKKKa?

  • Just to inform you the composer is N.Yepes, it's known long ago, not a mystery.

  • @CNFrostXY Um... No, sorry. It's a "traditional" piece that is thought to date back to the 15th Century or so. The original composer is lost to the mists of time. Narcisso Yepes wrote an arrangement of it for the film Jeux Interdits in 1952, but there are recordings of other guitarists playing it, notably Segovia, as far back as the 1930's.

  • @murdelabop

    Without conclusive evidence.

  • @TheEpicion Conclusive evidence of what? Segovia recorded it in 1944. That it existed before 1952, is that not conclusive enough?

  • @murdelabop Recent musical scholar's research has suggested that this piece of music may be the work of Fernando Sor.

  • @murdelabop Yepes admitted having composed the Romance in 1934; if you have any kind of proof (not just the disinformation that other pretenders spread) that the song was recorded or even existed before then, please make it known. Otherwise... it is obvious that the probable author is the one who both popularized it and publicly admitted authorship.

  • No it isn't. The composer is unknown (and it certainly was not Yepes).

  • @MrPsang What makes you so certain? Got any evidence to back it up? Who exactly do you think has a better claim? Why not trust that Yepes was telling the truth when he admitted authorship?

  • @CNFrostXY Published versions of the piece from before the date of Yepes' birth exist, so, no, he didn't write it.

  • @CNFrostXY The earliest known publication of the piece is 1900, and the earliest known recording is from 1925. Yepes was born in 1927. He could not have been the composer.

  • @LaPerleDOr, your "freedom" is oppressive cultural hegemony. Yang should be playing the pipa before it's too late.

  • Narciso Yepes admitted that he wrote this piece when seven years old.

  • Chinese guitarist but well done. Nice version of this beautiful melody.

  • that's why she has a fancy videoclip with the song and others don't;)

being a talented musiscion doesn't mean you can play the song.. you have to live it.. breath it.. feal it.

  • iwaannnaa play like that. .truly captivating :D

  • Bravo, very well played!

It was my ex-gf who used to thought me how to play guitar and this was the song.

The expression that Xue-Fei Yang put into the song was the expression that i was looking for when playing this song. Superb!

  • Nam Mô A Di Đà Phật

  • @dawg00000 What are you talking about? Brainwashed? white christian males? you got a lot of victim in you. Or maybe a lot of arrogance. She's good, let her play whatever she wants... sheesh.

  • @dawg00000 Oh but I do like the line about white cultural hegemony. A little paranoid etc, but well said anyway.

  • @ErktheEngineer, at least someone recognizes the destruction of the music of indigenous peoples due to euro classical. Yang betrays her culture. She should be playing a pipa and staying true to her people.

  • @dawg00000 You think you have the right to dictate to her what instrument she should play based on the color of her skin? I'm sorry but that's ridiculous. I for one am glad that she decided to play the Guitar and not the Pipa, which my "white-euro classically cultured" ear can't quite appreciate. What a strange crusade you are on. Good luck with it.

  • @ErktheEngineer, she plays what she wants. I'm just saying that she's betraying her rich and diverse true culture which is being erased by hegemonic fake whiteness.

  • @ErktheEngineer

What a load of crab. skin have nothing to do with it. shes just a good guitarist. end of story. and it dozent hurt that shes good on the eyes.
