If there is one thing I love about Blizzard, it's the voice actors. They give the characters so much life and emotion that it brought tears to my eyes. The whole Arthas/Lich King/Darion story is just...I always get sad or even cry when it comes to it.

He should be ultimate evil, not just 1 more boss to kill in game. They made big mistake by makeing new expansion. Thats why many people stoped playing wow anyway. Story of Warcraft and WoW is about Arthas and Illidan and some more heroes... and they ruined it with some stupid Cata expansion.

Can anyone come to answer a few questions for me? Firstly, if Naxxrammas moved to Northrend, was the pre-TBC version simply forgotten, or were the bosses "ressurected" somehow. Secondly, how did Darion come to possess the ashbringer. Alexandros had it in Naxxrammas, and in it's corrupted state how did Darion wield it BEFORE cursing himself with undeath?
@fatduck100 The level 60 Naxxramas did happen. But the guys were all undead, so, y'know, dying isn't a big deal to them.
How Darion got the Ashbringer is explained in the aptly-named "Ashbringer" comic: Darion was among the Argent Dawn soldiers that attacked Naxxramas in the EPL. He got it when he beat Alexandros. Then to save his father's soul which was trapped in the sword he killed himself, offering his own life to the Scourge to free his father's spirit.
i wish i could go back in time to wrath of the lich king. I always said that i liked it more that Burning crusade. I hope they take us back to northrend sometime or at least make a place like it with an equal storyline. RIP ARTHAS!!!!

@michelesempre1 Arthas didn't do shit to save azeroth, infact he put azeroth DEEP in the shitter, if he had listened to medeivh the sunwell would have never collapsed, kel'thazad would still be dead, uther would still be alive, illidan would of never been banished to outland or turned evil, the lich king would still be inprisoined, and archimonde would of never been there. but no arthas was all: "MAH PEOPLE I MUST SAVE MAH PEOPLE!" and ended up screwing them over entirely.

@michelesempre1 The burning legion was stopped because of stormrage not arthas. arthas was the one who helped summon archimonde, and he didn't stop nerzhul from destroying azeroth, he helped nerzhul if anything, and nerzhul didn't have control over him until he got to northrend, which would never have happened if he had listened to mideavh.
@michelesempre1 Arthas Saga was best part of Lore. He is best game character ever. I've played quite alot of games RPG and stuff it was part of my job for quiet some time (used to write reviews and similar stuff) And I've never found such character as Arthas, that had huge background story~ details even the litles ones. And I think he was the best candidate for Lich King since start. Soon Sylvanas might overtake at ICC~not sure yet.

His entire unit of troops that went with him to Northrend, mercenaries, all those people of Stratholme, Muradin (but he survived), Uther, Lordaeron King, Sylvanas, Antonidas... I can go on.

Arthas followed the normal path of a human to defend his home and avenge those who have fallen by killing Mal'ganis, but this was always Nerzhul plan, no one would have stood against such a powerful entity that managed to trick one of the most powerful demons in this universe. In the end is shown that Arthas spirit was the one that was holding the Scourge.

And the longer he held the cursed runeblade, the stronger that voice's connection to him became. However, he wasn't truly "under the control" of the entity that is the Lich King until he donned the possessed suit of armor that contained the last vestiges of Ner'Zhul's soul and they merged to form the NEW Lich King.

This is what the Lich King used agantist him: all along, it was the lich king's plan to enrage Arthas by murdering the innocents of his father's kingdom. Arthas thirsted for vengeance after it. After he touched Frostmourne, the runeblade siphoned his soul just like any other else's who were slain by that blade. At the Halls of Reflection Uther says: only Arthas prevents the scourge from the invasion over azeroth.

@piratebri I agree completely, WOTLK was the only expansion where I truly felt immersed in the story, and WANTED to kill the Lich King, not just for loot, but for the epicness and the heroism. It's just a damn shame the gameplay let WOTLK down
@fatduck100 In my opinion WOTLK was fine as it is, pvp wasn't all that bad. Raids were amazing especially Ulduar. Yes TotC was huge letdown but I kinda enjoyed Hard modes there too. ICC was ok some fights I really liked (Prof. Putricide was one of most fun fights)- But there won't be any other expansion that had such amazing story behind. Arthas/LK saga was one of best ever. Arthas character was my favorite one when they killed him in lore, right after that i stop caring about lore..
@staticbeepbeep Excuse the late reply, but I think what killed WOTLK was the ICC 5 mans, as this made all raids except for ICC and perhaps ToC obselete. In my opinion, they made the same mistaker when they released the Hour Of Twilight Dungeons, as now Dragon soul is the only feasible raid. But I digress - It was just that in the end of WOTLK, ICC seemed to be the only raid (and VoA, but, well... That wasn't great) Up to Ulduar, I think it was pretty damn good.
@fatduck100 Yeah, I completly forgot about ICC 5 mans... I do agree~ they killed entire raid Tiers you could have been easly geared for ICC 10 man doin only FOS and stuff ;/. But me and my guild did venture back to Ulduar 25 mans, just because that raid was THE best raid ingame. There was no other raid that could match that one not even TBC raids tbh, maybe BT or TK...

lich king was great but i hate that started to make the game easyier everytime i started in Vanilla and the dificulty is what kept me into the game then it got easy and even more easy and it lost all fun then!

@michelesempre1 The burning legion was stopped because of stormrage not arthas. arthas was the one who helped summon archimonde, and he didn't stop nerzhul from destroying azeroth, he helped nerzhul if anything, and nerzhul didn't have control over him until he got to northrend, which would never have happened if he had listened to mideavh.

@michelesempre1 Arthas Saga was best part of Lore. He is best game character ever. I've played quite alot of games RPG and stuff it was part of my job for quiet some time (used to write reviews and similar stuff) And I've never found such character as Arthas, that had huge background story~ details even the litles ones. And I think he was the best candidate for Lich King since start. Soon Sylvanas might overtake at ICC~not sure yet.

Arthas was a great villain, but his downfall came out of his own selfishness for revenge. Nerzhul merely took advantage of Arthas' headstrong stupidity.

@oceanwind11 The people of Stratholme could not be saved, Arthas killed them but he was right in the end they would have served the demons. Arthas followed the normal path of a human to defend his home and avenge those who have fallen by killing Mal'ganis, but this was always Nerzhul plan, no one would have stood against such a powerful entity that managed to trick one of the most powerful demons in this universe. In the end is shown that Arthas spirit was the one that was holding the Scourge.

And the longer he held the cursed runeblade, the stronger that voice's connection to him became. However, he wasn't truly "under the control" of the entity that is the Lich King until he donned the possessed suit of armor that contained the last vestiges of Ner'Zhul's soul and they merged to form the NEW Lich King.

This is what the Lich King used agantist him: all along, it was the lich king's plan to enrage Arthas by murdering the innocents of his father's kingdom. Arthas thirsted for vengeance after it. @fatduck100 In my opinion WOTLK was fine as it is, pvp wasn't all that bad. Raids were amazing especially Ulduar. Yes TotC was huge letdown but I kinda enjoyed Hard modes there too. ICC was ok some fights I really liked (Prof. Putricide was one of most fun fights)- But there won't be any other expansion that had such amazing story behind. Arthas/LK saga was one of best ever. Arthas character was my favorite one when they killed him in lore, right after that i stop caring about lore..

@staticbeepbeep Excuse the late reply, but I think what killed WOTLK was the ICC 5 mans, as this made all raids except for ICC and perhaps ToC obselete. In my opinion, they made the same mistaker when they released the Hour Of Twilight Dungeons, as now Dragon soul is the only feasible raid. But I digress - It was just that in the end of WOTLK, ICC seemed to be the only raid (and VoA, but, well... That wasn't great) Up to Ulduar, I think it was pretty damn good.
