  • 34 seconds epic fail

  • Can you use copper wire for this? Or does it have to be regular?

  • where can i get a neodymium magney

  • try Hardware stores or buy a cheap flashlight that you shake to charge and take it apart.

  • No the magnet does not need to be any particular type, as long as there is a conductive surface for the wire to touch. If you have a non conductive magnet, put a penybetwene the battery and the magnet and have the wire touch the quarter

  • lmao i love how it just falls off

  • I wonder if that motor would power my table saw?

  • now, even mass murderers can go green ^.^

  • o goody wires spinning

  • does it only work on neodymium magnets? cuz i have gotten burned so many times trying to make a stupid wire SPIN!!!!!!!

  • HEB batt, do you live in TX?

  • does the magnet have to be that exact type(neodymium)??

what is the name of the whire you are using??

  • The spiral design is more stable and if it is a good enough batterie it will zoom around on your desk

  • I love the end, when it falls off haha

  • Interesante

  • oops

    qe paisa

    esta

    tu iman

    creo

    qe ni sirve...!

    jiji..!

  • FAKE! IT'S FAKE!

(Every once in a while, I like to act like one of those morons who says this. I am content.)

  • lol

  • No it's not fake. The wire touches the magnet (not continuously though) and circuit is closed. Current flows though the wire and the water level piece reacts with surrounding magnetic field almost like the "Law of Laplace" apparatus in physics instead it's here circular and therefore go round. It should be basic school knowledge but guess it doesn't take much to surprise people these days :D

  • HifiCentret:

    NO!

    WITCHCRAFT!!!1

  • Maybe I should make a video of Law of Laplace.

Maybe you'll think that's witchcraft too. It's no more witchcraft than any other electric motor. Except that almost any other electric motor is build for greater energy efficiency.

I'll post a comment here when I've made a video of Law of Laplace.

  • Yup. My video "Law of Laplace" is now online :)

Please go check it out but please don't shout. No wrong statement has become more true when shouted ;)

  • can we do it with a regular magnet ?

  • No, regular magnets just aren't strong enough.

  • there is a reason why you should loop them into semi circles in the bottom. Its so they stay on.

  • I know. This was just my first try. I have another video with an improved version.

  • where do you get these magnets?

  • You can order them online. I got mine from KJ Magnetics.

  • Do you can use normal magnets instead of neodymium magnets?

  • lmfao

  • When i tried the 1st time and i dint know how it works then i got shcoked.

  • coooool

  • very nice demo... but why does it spin?

am curious which pole end of the magnet is attached to the battery, north or south?

  • flip over the magnet, it will spin the other way!!!!

  • really i never noticed

  • yep, since the domain/orientation of the negative side is in the opposite direction

  • nice demo

  • Yes, it will spin the other way. I found it easier to make good contact with the setup in the video.

  • I thought you put the magnet on the other end. Does that just make it go the opposite way?
