I was not offended by what Zeric said. For one, if that's his preference then I can't fault him. However, I feel like he contradicted himself several times. I understand not wanting to eat where you play, but don't shade those that entertain and support you. I feel as though if he feels that way then he shouldn't be allowed to use the "scene" to help build his career, or "celebrity. I don't feel as though the video should be removed. There is no such thing as half-Black, half-Cuban. Cuban is not a race, it's a nationality. Nearly everyone in the Western Hemisphere is either white (predominantly European descent), native, or black (predominantly African descent), or a blend of the three as a result of the slave trade. There's nothing wrong with having a preference. Just don't justify it with a BS answer. His current attraction could be the result of a deep rooted issue he hasn't mentally dealt with. Until he does, condemning an entire group of people is not very wise. Because it's this same group of people who has supported you since day one.

The 2 white guys Ty Wells and Jerome Manning hit the nail on the head with this video...... I would add that he has issues to do with self hatred & deep racial self hatred (so subliminal that he's flippant about dissing his own race.).

Black people are as diverse as any other race....theres an assumption that if you are gay you cant be biggoted or have racist views against people of your own race... and as I've said before Latino isnt a race (Latino=Spanish and Portuguese speakers of any race)

Like Maya Angelou says when you know better you do better. There was a time when it was accepted fact that the earth was the center of the universe and people learned that was wrong. I just think that we should not take our personal opions become facts when I have an opinion about anything or anyone I remind myself this is how I feel now and it may or may not change. Absolutely love this video. We all have preferences about what we like physically and what we want in a relationship there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. My issue came in generalizing groups of people based on the few people that you know. I attributed his statements to being young & not yet knowing the world is bigger than he knows it to be.The truth as we know it is only as based on what we know at the time.

I'm glad you interviewed a blatino and the perspective from Ty Wells and Jerome Mannings. This discussion has opened up the experiences of different ethnicity and races. Also this situation reminded me of an experience I had when a friend of mine from Colombia who is of Afro Colombian appeared black did not identify nor relate to the black experience. My issue with the whole interview is how he failed to recognize the diversity that exists within not only gay culture, but also the human experience. In everything there is always a "range," and I find it interesting that he doesn’t see the range that DOES exist within the culture. You do have some messy men in the gay life style, and that falls under extremely DL, to extremely flamboyant.

Great video. Zeric went beyond stating a preference to attacking his own. He had to dog Black and Latin men in order to JUSTIFY his desired preference. If white men are your preference then STAND UP IN THAT preference just like you STAND IN your sexuality, but don't diminish your current relationship and Black/Brown men by explaining your truth through the lens opposition and negativity. Lonell great job, and the brother at the end was correct, you shine a light on the various types of issues in our cummunity and that is very necessary. Oh and about Zaric in the first video, the other brother who kept going in on him may be correct, that Gurl was coked up (no shade... but shade) so maybe he didn't even realize what he was saying. I think he was trying so hard to come off as intelligent and above the fray as most of these gurls tend to do, but end up sounding stupid.
