@GazzaCroz Yeah but think about this some people pay to watch a good game. Also think it like this in a NBA game if both teams cant make it into the playoffs they dont just throw the game that just rude.
@MrHav1k It's really a difference in cultural values. Naniwa has consistently said that he plays to win, not for peoples' (fans) entertainment. This is exactly the opposite of the Korean attitude. Koreans play for both themselves and for their fans enjoyment, since they always want to put on a good show for their loyal fans. Naniwa's action here, throwing the game, especially towards a player with the reputation of Nestea, was perceived to be both incredibly rude and disrespectful.
the chinese commentators were bad too, they shouldn't say things like that that promote bad sportsmanship -- how can you be a hardcore gamer/fan if you don't even enjoy and want to watch matches between good players. besides it was only fair to round robin all the way around, denying them the match would have been unfair.
even though he wouldn't have moved onto the next round regardless if he played seriously or not, i don't think he should have disrespected the game and nestea like that, i mean you always have a chance to play a good game against good players. what if he had won that match over nestea? he could have at least left with the face knowing he won.
btw, the most predominant noise is chinese. the angrier chinese commentator said something like: "wtf? they r still playing? y r they playing this game? waste my time! mentally insane people!"
"the emotions of these 2 players are bad, so they'll probably play badly. even naniwa think so. mentally insane people." and some other things along these lines.
it's wat the commentator said. go ask another chinese if u dont believe me.
@horntail140 this is true. one commentator added that maybe polt and mma should play first. Also later he commented on naniwa's face how he looks like he doesnt want to play. This needs better organization system.
@GoodbyeShin yeah, he said "this is totally wasting time, he's [f'in] crazy." the f'in wasn't in there, but based on his tone of voice it's probably appropriate.
here's the thing, this kind of thing would never happen in football. think about, you have to play for respect and your fans that pay to watch you play. and i mean you dont HAVE TO, but come on, be a pro and give it your best. this presents the idea that naniwa just cares for the money and the glory. doesn't look like he loves the game. Btw, you could compare this to Idra vs MC on Xel' naga where he just drone rushed but i think that because idra still had a shot in the tourney with that loss.
Its the organizers fault for having such a fail system. Noone wants to waste time playing a pointless game against an opponent who you have a winning streak against while your currently at 70% of ur best.
Naniwa is a professional and what he did was very unprofessional. regardless of wether or not the game was pointless or not. he threw the game and that was uncalled for.
@ZikicaKikica That was not a pointless game. He threw a match, thats was fucking discusting. Imagine a football team who ha enough points to not be relegate and cant fight for top 4 just dont play the rest of the season ? Naniwa shouldve got a ban for that shit.
not sure how Nani was doing or what situation he was in (see QxC's twitter) ... but its really disrespectful towards Nestea and the Korean sc2 community. bad manner - but apology accepted.

@ZikicaKikica you're right, NFL NBA NHL should just cancel all the games between teams that have no chance of qualifying for playoffs.
that would work really well! you're a fucking genius!
