Graham Greene is one hell of an actor he's a good looking man I have to agree with you he seems like he would be a hell of a guy to hang around, I have only seen him in interviews he seems like a a great man, I think anyone who knows him is a lucky person, I would like to thank you for posting this, anything this man does is so amazing thanks again for posting
I think this movie is continuing the tradition that Blazing Saddles started, that being a laugh-out-loud funny western movie, with a killer cast, and soundtrack. On a side note, two of my favorite Country Music songs, Tracy Lawrence's "Renegades, Rebels, And Rogues," and Clint Black's "A Good Run Of Bad Luck," came from this movie. Thanks for posting this.....
why people got so worked up about the whole pull over incident i don't know, do you have to act like self-righteous maggots all the fucking time? i'm sure it's the kind of people who report child and animal abuse on innocent home videos. and here's mel suddenly becoming a holocaust warden figure.
He wasn't racist against Natives. Gibson was drunk and ranted about Jews. Not saying it's right. Gibson apologized, but I guess celebrities aren't allowed to apologize. Let it go. Mel Gibson is a good actor and director.
and Graham Greene and Mel Gibson were fucking hilarious in Maverick! ANd yes I agree with palealien Graham Greene is very unappreciated,
I won't argue with u bc this is coming down to a matter of opinion and in my opinion (which has developed by the way from observation over the years) that a person's true feelings come out of the closet when they r under the influence of drugs or alcohol. And yes Graham Greene is 2 under - appreciated I became his fan when I first saw him on Poltergeist
reminds me of an indian who had his ear down to a set of tracks trying to listen if the animal was near who made them...when he just about had it figured out a train ran him over.
I don't know exactly what you meant with'this P.C. shit',LilWitch1979,but i guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion ofcourse.I stick with the fact, that Natives are given the wrong referrence, because the word Indian, refers to India.Besides,it were white men that gave this name to the Natives, while stealing off their land .I can't imagine any Native to be proud of such a name, that wronged somuch for them. The land still belongs to First Nation People.Period.
As you point out, "Indian" is a misnomer. Lots of American Indians call themselves Indian anyway. It may be technically wrong, but it's not widely perceived by us as being a derogatory term. If not referred to by tribe, many of us prefer to be called American Indian rather than Native American (a U.S. government label). Anyone born in the U.S. can claim to be Native American, just as the late non-American Indian actor Charlton Heston did. BTW, I am Eastern Cherokee & Catawba.
just to explain this from a white person's point of view...us whites can't keep up with what you all want to be called---it changes--and how would we 'know' what you want to be called...I read a lot about Indian history and I STILL can't figure out what to call them when I talk to them !
I appreciate your comment. You're not the first person to tell them that they don't know what terminology to use. I tell people in an inoffensive way I prefer to be called American Indian. That applies to everyone, including American Indians/Native Americans other than tribal elders.
thanks for understanding--I just want 'American Indians' to know that we honestly don't know what to call them--it seems to change over the years and also diff. people may prefer diff. things. It's not that we are trying to be disrespectful, but we just didn't even realize this was an issue in the first place most of the time.
Hmmm always interesting,I have a few friends of THE PEOPLE,FIRST NATIONS,THE PEOPLE OF TURTLE ISLAND and so on and so forth one just likes to be personable and just be called by his own name one will be called by his name and people and or tribe and as already been said Native or American Indian it no more different than typically by usually an American persay are you from England 'No! actually I am from Wales and historically I belonged to a clan/tribe myself and have pride in that,I am Welsh.
@hellsingnutcase Graham Green was born on Six Nations in Ontario Canada... and it was not because he's a "Native American".. that he was cast for this movie.. it was because he's a damn good actor.. and they needed someone to make people laugh..
I have to watch this movie now that I know Graham Green is in it! Thanksgiving break priority!

Why is Graham Greene always typecast as an Indian?
