Go Charlie! LOL he is so funny. That lady's being so patient with him. I need an inuktitut teacher like her! xD .... or any at all, I want to learnnn!
I can't stand the "clear cutting" approach that the colonizing peoples took toward the indigenous cultures. If they had not been so stupidly myopic, the newcomers to North America could have learned the native languages and adopted the thousands of years of cultural knowledge that the aboriginal people had, rather than to try and erase their identities and push them to extinction. As a Canadian of non-aboriginal descent, I still hope to learn an aboriginal language.
@DrawainTheDragon you can learn inuktituk in nunavut if not then in ontario in ottawa, is @ The TI centre and wabano centre too, if so contact me, I can teach you anything about the inuit culture. :)
I love the words and will use them as flash cards to teach my daughter .and so on etc inuk shuk we depend on each other .unconditionally love for the land and sea ,and our fellow man ..
That's the smost ignorant thing I've ever heard in my whole life... As a Chamorro from Guam, I get the feeling you have NO IDEA what it's like to know that your language could die withen the next 100 years, the way you talk to your parents and grandparents and friends and cousins, DEAD FOREVER!!! There are concepts withen languages that are 100% unique to those languages. There are ways of thinking, mindsets, cultural concepts that English, or any Western language that KILLED ours have, shut up
Ok, thats true. But I submit to you - dear ignorant fucktard - that those concepts that are currently unique to a given language (and by "unique to a language" im assuming you mean "easily expressed by a language" - otherwise that retarded thought would, alone, require another reply just to ridicule) are not DEPENDANT on that language.
Also:
1. SORRY! But the progress of the species is more important than the obscure noises you make.
The progress of the species? LOL By killing off every language you're losing like 98% of all the progress and knowldge of the whole world xD LOL You are the ignorant one, you probably can't even speak another language, there for you can't understand. You speak English, you don't know what it's like to lose tons of your culture and language to another, you don't know anything about it. So just be quiet, take away our language, you take away our JOY OF BEING WHO WE ARE! YOU ARE WRONG, END OF STORY
Also, the only people on this globe who have EVER gained a damn thing from the fact that there are so many languages, are linguists! If there was one language, the only people on the globe who would suffer from it are linguists!
so, I dont give a damn. They can get a real job, lol.
I don't give a flying fuck about you. I don't even know why you felt the need to message me in the first place! What the hell is your diagnosis, you fucking troll?? LOL!!
i am fascinated! i want to go way north and learn the language and the way of life. (btw some sounds are VERY close to my native laguage: Berber from north africa) i have no doubt that i could make the same sounds
*Giggles* Silly silly, it's so funny, when evere I watch kapluunak trying to learn our language, they always almost get it right. And Iiiiiiiii, that lady i cute in a way to teach him~!
in all seriousness, i need to learn Inuktitut. can any of you help me?
it'd be so much easier if i had a native/fluent speaker to help out... teaching myself a foreign language with foreign characters and foreign pronunciations, grammar, etc is going to be insanely difficult.

it is not important to keep languages alive. cultures, sure. people, sure.
not languages.
everyone speaking a different language serves only to confuse and hinder us as a race.
saying that it is important to keep any language alive is like saying it is important to shit your pants

@pumasporvida no it isnt
DazmoTube 1 year ago
@DazmoTube maybe to you it isn't...but society doesn't need to be universal in a language...it would be rather bland..
pumasporvida 1 year ago
@pumasporvida
i dont think that being able to communicate with absolutely anyone you met would be bland at all. people are much more interesting than languages.

@chowfun1976 if you watch any of the other "explore" videos you will see that's clearly not charlie's agenda.
all he's trying to do is build bridges between cultures - sorry he doesn't have all the perfect intonations and nuances, but he's trying his best
