If it is really 4kVA, I would firstly put 6 microwave capacitors in series and in series with output (and possibly adjust inductive ballast for best arcs). With your xformer I wouldn't be surprised if the resonant arcs reached some 80cm long. Warning- the output voltage can reach up to 2x normal output, make sure your transformer can take this.

0_o that is a really nice transformer, looks like monster flyback! you know what I would do with it (put it to resonance for 3x bigger arcs :D
btw. where did you obtain it?
