A lot of people that ask for autographs are actually doing so to sell them for money on the internet, etc...not always are they fans. And if you notice in this video, it looks like the people around her that are either her bodyguards or publicists, etc. are the ones stopping her from signing at this particular time....I've seen actors being rushed by those around them. Emily stopped at the end to take a photo with a fan even though those with her obviously didn't want her to.
Blunt's is good at acting and I appreciate her but her behavior towards fans makes me suspect whether her image is good. Even Britney Spears who is very afraid of paparazzi, she still signed an autograph for the shop assistant. This is a basic respect to people. Also Blunt should know that being a celebrity consists of no privacy, she would be being stalked all day. I dunno whether she is busy, but i am very discontented with her behavior
Can't disagree with you too much there. Everyone has to have personal space and privacy at home, celebrity or not. Being in the public arena isn't for everyone, the people that do make in a living in it have to find a healthy balance with their public and private lives. It's not easy, but for the ones that do will have long successful careers.
First off I don't hold actors on any pedestal. I don't respect them, I don't envy them. They have done nothing for me. They don't pay my taxes, my bills, nothing, and I'll bet they've haven't done the same for you either. How's that for generic observation. You need to read my comments again. Without the paying public the celebrities wouldn't have a job. That goes for all of them. They make a living in the public arena, and they rely on the public for their careers. It's not that hard to grasp.
It's the fans that make the celebrity, period. It's the fans that support them, who take time out of their busy lives to watch their movies. It's our money that the celebrities are spending. The least a celebrity can do is take time out of their "busy life" to sign some autographs. If the celebrities don't like being hounded then they shouldn't be constantly seeking fame with the public, along with the huge paychecks.
I would hope so capslock. Those fans are the reason she's leaving the AFI gala. It always burns me that celebrities don't give enough time to their fans when it's them that are supporting their careers. Without the fans support the celebrities wouldn't have their overpaid paychecks, fame, belongings, mansions, and their egos. I always hear about celebrities dissing their fans, because they're "in a hurry to get somewhere", or for whatever reason, not cool.
