  • Great words of wisdom. Before you criticize a man you should walk a mile in his shoes. Then when you criticize him you're a mile away, and you have his shoes.

Very nice mixing. I think you did a good job.

  • great job, really good on the clawhammer

i like this song and will be posting it soon

    Thanks, dan

  • Thanks so much. I'll look out for it.

  • good job pal!

  • Thank you aswell. I curious as to what make and model banjo you are playing so well in this clip.

    Thanks again.

  • It's a Chuck Lee custom Ovilla prototype, I think. Got it at Zepp's a couple of years ago.

  • Thanks so much...this is the first example I've found of both styles...I'm trying to pick one. Which do you recommend to do first?

  • They're both great and I wish I were a lot better at each. Depends on whether you've played another instrument--if you play guitar (as I did) and know how to pick a bit, then bluegrass is pretty easy to pick up--clawhammer very difficult to get the basic strum working if you've played anything else, and drop thumb is VERY difficult for me (I don't do any of that here--just basic strumming). Then again, to play bluegrass well and FAST takes years too. Try em both and keep me posted. Good luck!

  • nice job
