@jethro035181 i agree with the other comments. yes, there not many finacially challenged skaters, because figure skating is an expensive sport. My family has made so many sacrifices so i can do what i love, and by no means am i a snotty brat. I am so grateful for the support i have from my family, so i work so hard to make them proud. Yes, it is a demanding sport that you cant do forever, but when you do it it can be one of the most amazing expierences ever.

@jethro035181 Yes, ping pong is so much better than figure skating, flicking your wrist around and watching a tiny ball bounce around, while all us figure skaters do is gain muscle, endurance, core strength, flexbility, grace, strength, artistry, balance, and musical ears.....wow, what wrist muscles you ping pongers must have....i am so jealous. Get a life, please. Skating isn't just how far you'll go (and if you skate Harvard is open for you) but what you earn doing the sport, as well.

@TheSkatingGirlDream ....figure skating is a parental indulgence of overprivileged and over pampered teenage girls...for some reason there are no ghetto children involved....do i smell elitism ? ...ping pong can be played at 60 years of age, but can you do triple lutzes at that age...ping pong can be enjoyed by any economic group....good universities don't give athletic scholarships, even to figureskaters...ping pong, however, will get you into the best uni in china
