Its a beautiful town, but xenophobic as hell, what a shame, it is spectacular place to live if you are white i suppose.

We agree it's beautiful, but nobody seemed to fear us when we moved here.

I wouldn't put it in such a simple term as fear, more like a sense or an insinuation that being brown here is somewhat discomforting.

But not all are that way, its a marvelous place, and ignorance wont keep me away.

Yep, pretty small, the population was 12,462 at the 2000 census. But only about 33 miles to Sacramento, 120 miles to San Francisco, so cities are close.
