The Rubber Soul/Revolver era was the Beatles absolute peak! Not saying anything else they did was any worse, but those two albums are the most surreal without going bonkers on psychedelia like Sgt. Peppers and Mystery Tour. Love their musicianship, the harmonies, the structure of the songs, the recording tricks... and you can listen to these songs a hundred times without getting bored with them.

A Hard Day's Night was the first great Beatles album! It's really interesting that they wrote 4 great all acoustic songs as early as on this early 1964 album,Paul's great Things We Said Today,And I Love Her & John's great If I Fell,& the gorgeous I'll Be Back.A year before The Help album & over a year before Rubber Soul.

I can't believe the image quality in the Paperback Writer/Rain videos. They look like they were just shot yesterday. They've either been exceptionally well preserved, or else exceptionally well digitally...cleaned up, or probably a combination of both. Very impressive. I've seen video from the late 70's and 80's of much worse quality/degradation than this. Even Magical Mystery Tour looks much worse than this.
