@krissyjeshi The GREAT GREAT GREAT SONG is : "GOT TO GET YOU INTO MY LIFE " , of album Revolver. Is the song before the ultimate Tomorrow never Knows... My e- mail: joebeat_al@hotmail.com . Im in Facebook too.Im speak english and spanish.
@tottytotty10 He was in a car crash in late 1965 and lost a tooth, some hair, and got a scar on his forehead which is why his hair is different in this video.
@byemynameishi Well it sparred the rumors when people found out in later years. And also when he had plastic surgery and dental work on it of course the crazies though 'it's faul'!' So in a way, yes.
their albums would've been even better if they all of these single-only songs on it; just imagine sgt. pepper with penny lane & strawberry fields or revolver with rain & paperback writer; genius!
i love how all of the beatle talking abt the japan concert got the same thing out of it- how they were all talking about the timing and stuff. they all had the same irreverent kinda humor and its totally awesome how apple mixed it together
What's really interesting is that you can see in their footage, even in the last part of this chapter a little bit, that Ringo and George are already kinda feeling the edge. Already a little bit of discontent among the ranks.
The Rubber Soul/Revolver era was the Beatles absolute peak! Not saying anything else they did was any worse, but those two albums are the most surreal without going bonkers on psychedelia like Sgt. Peppers and Mystery Tour. Love their musicianship, the harmonies, the structure of the songs, the recording tricks... and you can listen to these songs a hundred times without getting bored with them.
A Hard Day's Night was the first great Beatles album! It's really interesting that they wrote 4 great all acoustic songs as early as on this early 1964 album,Paul's great Things We Said Today,And I Love Her & John's great If I Fell,& the gorgeous I'll Be Back.A year before The Help album & over a year before Rubber Soul.
@1olrocker Yes!! I believe this was the peak of their COMBINED effort. The songs out of these two albums has left ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE scrambling for an esoteric simplicity of Hard To Earn song compositional MASTERY. . .
ed sullivan didn't give a shit about the beatles or rock music in general. a stupid idiot who considered rock'n'roll a commodity to keep his ratings high
Paperback Writer, my second-favorite Beatles song. (:
If I had to separate the musicians, and pick a favorite song from every individual Beatle, my song choices would be so different. I'm very fond of George's 'Something'. Okay, screw my analytical crap. As soon as they switch songs, that's my new favorite. It's safe to say, I'm a complete Beatlemaniac!
rain has always been my favorite beatles song, unfortunately its not very popular. but rockband: beatles will feature the entire catalog so it doesn't really matter
It's funny how the gorgeous, strung out harmonies on 'Rain' would be milked to absolute death through 1969. And the milkers were famous artists who didn't even realize they were three to four years behind The Beatles. ...
ya you can see the chipped tooth bet that ruined the reputation of the cute on but he still is amazingly adorable really cute hair!!! but were is the scar??? and the tooth isnt chipped now did he get it fixed???
Bingo ! Years ago, someone told me that, I couldn't believe it ! Of course, the Brit accent doesn't make it sound clear but if you listen to it in stereo, it really stands out ! They were "getting better all the time" ! LOLLLLL
Those two "videos" - promotional films as they used to be called - were shot in the grounds and gardens of Chiswick House, West London, on 20 May 1966 by Michael Lindsay-Hogg for showing on the "Ed Sullivan Show", complete with insert sequences in which the group sent spoken messages to their American fans... (Source: Chris Ingham's "Rough Guide to The Beatles")
I can't believe the image quality in the Paperback Writer/Rain videos. They look like they were just shot yesterday. They've either been exceptionally well preserved, or else exceptionally well digitally...cleaned up, or probably a combination of both. Very impressive. I've seen video from the late 70's and 80's of much worse quality/degradation than this. Even Magical Mystery Tour looks much worse than this.
