Partition manager wizard is really a good thing, MiniTool partition manager wizard is a good choice for you. It is easy to use and it is efficient. ! Some editions are FREEEEE. Any of you who need it can have a try.
this is really helpful but yousaid that your running a vitrul machine and your running windows xp on it. where can i get thevirtual machine that your using
if my programs r already installed and then i resize it,will they stay on the original drive where windows is installed or will they move to the new partition??
i know u told me to go to the forrum or live chat but i wanted to ask here first. ok like your computer i have a local c disk but unlike yours i have a new volume D and i want to make it a local disk like the c because when i try to save stuff on it it wont open and im eating up all the space on my C drive. if you know how to fix this can you please tell me in a message? THANKS XD
OMG Thank You So much I was finally able to move the 40GB unallocated space into my C Drive using that program I was trying to figure out that problem for weeks now & finally found the solution thanks again.
Hi Duncan,By technique I managed to create 3 partitions of my 93 GB HDD ,after tweaking them to required values it has resulted into 3 unallocated spaces of 1GB,2GB,44GB. It no use to create a partition of 1 or 2 GB . I want to merge these individual unallocated spaces .Please let how to go around. Well thanks for the resizing technique. Sazxda
Hey, great video! It explained many of my questions. If only I had watched before I repartitioned my drive...without a VMWare. XP was corrupted, anyways... DON'T TRY IT IN YOUR ACTUAL SYSTEM!
the program that duncan is showing isn't gparted mate. u are difinatly miss informed, watch his video again. =) he uses partedmagic. gparted is a live cd and boots and store in your ram temporary so u dont need ubuntu to use it. its 4 all operating systems. i dont know about macs though.
if you want more info about gparted, just google it. :)

Thanks to you, i managed to repetition my hard disk and install the win 7 beta (which by the way guys is real good). Thanks for all the help :)
Btw, is it possible that some of my data may have been corrupted during the partitioning process? OR would it still maintain its integrity?

there's also 'gparted' which uses a livecd/usb image, its free too.
slennzer 3 years ago
This IS gparted. It's just basically an OS that holds gparted. Otherwise, you'd have to get like, Ubuntu or something to run it.
