  • First step: Meditation. Meditation is not about thinking. It's about NOT thinking. A good way to do this is with mantra. Think of a simple phrase stated in the positive present tense. Something like "I am calm. I am centered. I am whole." Repeat in a low, quiet voice in a rhythmic pattern focusing on the vibration of the tongue. Feel the vibrations resonating throughout your skull. Know that these vibrations are permeating every cell in your body. This takes focus off of your thoughts.
